NIU started a thread with a similar title, so I thought I'd attempt the same, seeing we have a better shot than them to get there.

Scenario 1:
Toledo wins out + Ball State loses one game (CMU, @Kent, Miami)

Scenario 2:
Toledo beats NIU, loses to UB, defeats CMU + WMU loses one game (@Ohio, @NIU) + Ball State loses to CMU, and defeats @Kent, and Miami.
Four way tie at 5-3... Toledo is 2-1, WMU is 2-1, CMU is 1-2, Ball State is 1-2.... This goes to UT vs. WMU and we win.

Yes. I don't mind backing into Detroit, but we will get embarrassed on a national stage....unless we play Arkansas State.

I would hope that if we happened to win the next three games something magical has occurred, and that we might actually be competitive in a bowl game. That, however, is a very big challenge based on the last several weeks. We’ll see...

Head to Head. Obviously it's a tie. Then division record. (4-1) for BSU and Toledo. They win head to head. Ball State goes.

Nope.

App St has shown itself not your average G5. No, we shouldn't have lost to them that badly but there's not likely to be a match between UT and the next App St. It will be competitive.

Don't want App state, how about someone different ?
