I’m done having to root for App now. Tonight is a reminder to everyone why you should just worry about your team and expect nothing from anyone else.

You should still pull for all OOC games for the conference though. GS surprised me, maybe not their own fans, but they surprised me. It’s a tough shake off but RIGHT NOW is the time to focus on SC. Go 1-0 APP

RE: Game Thread: App @ South Carolina
Honestly, I think our guys can play this game with a lot less pressure on them now. That doesn't mean I'm glad we lost in any way, but I'm sure that undefeated talk and NY6 talk had to take some toll. Plus I'm sure SoCar would have been a little more amped up if we rolled in there with a top 29 ranking.

RE: Game Thread: App @ South Carolina
What I noticed on Thursday night is that App has become a finesse team, which is why the GS D-line feasted all night. I believe that an SEC D-Line will also expose this for App and could make it a long day. SCAR has proven to shut down the run game (see game vs Georgia).

Wind like a Thursday SC by as many as they want.

Normal weather SC by 13. Our line play will get you exposed again.

Don’t know if I’d peg us a finesse team per say, but we have a limited tool box when limited by the weather. We pass to set up the run, or another way to put it, is we ideally force defenses to spread out. If we play a team with a strong D front, and we insist on running, we struggle. We need to look long term at changing our prototype O-line player. Hard to insist on running the football against a front that outweighs your O-line by 30-40 pounds per man in our scheme. If we can’t spread the defense, we struggle. I do expect we will play better against USC, and I expect that we will loosen up the playbook next week vs. what I’ve seen in the prior three games.

Go out there and prove to the world your top 25 ranking was real Apps. Beat the feathers off those pretentious chickens!

SC struggled to put a bad Vandy team away last night. We'll be ok if we play well.

Its silly to say that USC is awful. This will be a very stiff test for App and will be a good win if they can get it. SC's defense will give App lots of trouble. Expecting a 17-13 type game for SC.

Not silly at all. They are a bad football team. If they win, it will almost certainly be aided by the SEC officials.

SEC officials are definitely a factor anytime you play at an SEC school. App will have to play lights out to beat both the Gamecocks and the officials, and I think they'll get it done.

This game features sun belt refs anyway.

No it doesn't. UNC game was Sun Belt refs. The entire USC 3 game series is SEC refs.

By the way, UNC in Boone in 2022 will be ACC refs.

Okay, I am pretty sure I heard this one was Sun Belt refs, and the people over on SC's forum believe so too. I can't find a source either way.
