Getting close. If not now, I don't know when. Getting into conference play won't boost our profile.

Have to beat LSU first, imo. We haven't beaten anyone in Kenpom's top 120.

Our schedule has been incredibly weak and Vanderbilt is viewed as a bottom dweller SEC team. I think Vandy will be better than what people think. Nesmith and Lee are a dangerous combo.

I agree I think we will fall just short this week. If we are undefeated after LSU we will jump into the low 20’s. That’s a big if.

Top 25 comes after going 21-0, defeating LSU and UNF on the road. Yeah, we’ll probably get in before that if we’re still undefeated, but be in for sure if we win thru UNF.

Here's how I see it playing out:

We rise to 27 or 28 with a significant rise in votes, but not enough to jump in just yet. We survive this coming weekend against Towson & whoever the other opponent is, we get the nod & jump to 21st in order for the game against LSU to be a sexy top-25 matchup in Baton Rouge on January 29th.

Hate that we can't just be top 25 now, but sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles, sadly.

We come in at #30 (+1 from last week) with 25 votes (16 more than last week).

Behind WVU (#25-76 votes), UNC (#26-41votes), Xavier (#27-40 votes), Wichita State (#28-31 votes), & Purdue (#29-30 votes)

Highest ever rank, highest ever number of votes, & few votes separate us from #25. We're on the cusp!

If we beat LSU we will be ranked.

Game day! LSU is coming off a two game losing streak. I think we can win, but I don't know if we will. I generally think we're underrated nationally but we'll see. We've had a lot of rest so will we come out rested or rusty? Go Flames!

To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of long layoffs.
I think we can win this game as well.
It is our biggest game of the season, until our final ASUN Conference Tournament game, that will determine our NCAA future.
