3 really bad games by #12 Thomas in a row, need to re-evaluate that position in open week or gonna bite us. Almost did at Tulsa, smu; position needs fixed!
Agreed.
The man coverage scheme exposes our weakness. We just can't play man yet we continue to do it.
Thomas can not tackle;it’s getting really bad
Thomas has had one targeting penalty Miss one almost targeting Tulsa several questionable PI against Tulsa . He may be a little gun shy (can you say that in today’s PC world) if they had someone better he would bi in there: I think the kid will be fine. I am more concerned about Carter he cannot keep up with these teams number one receiver man on man. He needs help.

And those are the reasons man coverage, with this team, is just an atrocious scheme. At least to me. We've got good speed in the secondary but no size. You just can't play heads up man with that disadvantage. Plus they're not great cover guys to begin with in the man. Combine that with the huge cushion they're giving up and you're just not going to stop anybody with good receivers.
How this DC can't see that, and then continue to scheme that way, is mystifying.

McCourty twins DBs who start for Patriots - their father watched Memphis game with me last night. What you are saying was exactly his observation of pass defense - our DBs aren't bad athletically but their ball skills don't fit total Man D.
Really impressed by Offense and offensive players (some here may not like it but impressed by Brady White's poise) and Special Teams coaching - gave the fans an A for your performance as well.
Last thing really stuck with me - "As well as your Offense scores a FG is a win for your Defense - I don't see why they don't at least mix in some Zone in the Red Zone".

We are missing our best DB.
With the off week it may be time to implement more zone cover

Not disagreeing with you exactly, but playing corner in man coverage in today’s football is very hard. As for Thomas, and I rewatch most games midweek out of boredom, lol,he can’t tackle. Don’t care about coverage ( I should probably)as much from a safety as run support. It’s like he is closing his eyes or something. Constantly dropping his eyes/ head. Been like that for last 3 games. The eye in the sky don’t lie! ( as coach Armstrong use to say when watching film)

I guess we're leaving Brady alone today and now busting on Carter
IDK, he's probably our best corner cover

If I was Mayor Strickland I would have taken that opportunity to recruit away a couple of the gazillion businesses with HQ's in the Dallas area to Memphis. LOL. Okay, I guess that would have been bad form. But still...

We played a lot of zone vs. Tulsa and they destroyed us...
If we play zone we will die a death of 1000 cuts...People will nickel and dime us to death all the way down the field.
I prefer we give ourselves a chance to get a negative play by bringing pressure and get them behind the sticks.
