Am I the only one watching? Pretty good matchup so far. State seems to be a little better but Troy is hanging around. I think Sun Belt schools need to figure out a way to improve the production quality to get more crowd sound included so it's not so sterile sounding on the broadcast.

lol it's all good. And yes I think Ga State may be the real deal. Elliot has done a Solid job building them to what he wanted and this year it shows. But also maybe Troy isn't great this year? Who knows.

Watching this game drives home the reality of just how bad our ESPN+ announcing crew is.

Koenning was actually the bigger loss. But, yes, Lindsey is a crappy coach. I doubt we get bowl eligible this year.

Troy has 11th nationally ranked run defense. Allowed just 2.8 YPC the entire season.

Georgia State just rushed 390yds with 6.8 YPC on the very same Troy defense. I'm simply amazed.

Here's something interesting that GSU coaches came up with to loosen up Troy's outstanding run defense.

Georgia State showed a 3-down OL formation with tackles spread out wide by the receivers. Troy's linebackers were confused about their responsibilities as you can see they were out of place when the ball snapped. Barnett was able to sneak by untouched for 10+yards.

Dan Ellington: "We knew they [Troy defense] didn't like up tempo so pushing the ball was favorable for us, and once we got into that crazy formation, they started going everywhere and didn't know what to do, they didn't know how to react."

Did it seem like the option was less prevalent than in previous games? Or maybe Ellington just kept it a lot so I didn't always recognize option plays?
