Ah yes, ESPN3 - that media powerhouse that everyone watches. All 10,000 games it streams. Remember the days not too long ago where all of our games were on real TV? Starting with SportsVision, then SportsChannel, Comcast Sports Net Chicago, etc. We even had a couple games on Channel 50. Now, you need to watch a stream for almost all of the Huskie games. How times have changed!

The good thing about the streams is that anyone in the country with access can watch the games. Great for Huskie fans across the country. What's also good is all the streams of the men's and women's BB games. Before the ESPN3 and + streams, the BB games could only be seen if you attended the games or subscribed to Huskie All Access.

The "days not too long ago?" I remember duct-taping an old TV antenna to a stepladder outside the garage and running a wire to a radio just to pick up the local broadcast out more than 75 miles. Not even cable TV. And live TV games were really rare. All Access didn't even exist. Technologically, we have it better now. And ++ on the BB comment.

How does one get access the archives on ESPN+ to see past games?

No game this year even against the worst teams is a gimme. I wouldn't expect to win by more than maybe 10 at the most.

You have to sign up for an ESPN+ account ($4.99 a month). Have your account ID and password handy. Google to ESPN site. Select ESPN+. (if you don't have an account, there's a large promo there to get one). Once in ESPN+, select "schedules and replays" from the menu at the top of the page. Select "replay" and a date. Scroll down through sports categories until you find your sport and event. Select that and wait to load.

I just watched a bit of NIU vs Kent St women's v-ball from earlier Fri evening (NIU won).
