RE: Week Nine On The College Gridiron
We got a little bump up to 12 on Massey. Ohio State continuing to win big and UCLA showing up have to help.

I don’t like them leap frogging us on a bye week where we saw our OOC foes continue to win. They should be ranked, but I see no reason why they should be ahead of us at this point as one of the posts above show.

RE: Week Nine On The College Gridiron
I'm thinking the best-case scenario for us as far as polls and getting the NY6 auto-bid goes would be the following:
UCF wins out to finish 10-2 and ranked
Memphis beats SMU this week, then wins their next two and we beat a ranked 10-1 Memphis team on the road
SMU wins out after the Memphis loss, and we beat a ranked 11-1 SMU team in the championship game
That would be an awfully impressive trio of wins, and there's no way a 12-1 Boise/SDSU or 13-0 App State would be ranked ahead of us.

Not to mention, having 4 10-win teams would really help to further the P6 campaign.

I can’t see an undefeated App State getting in over Cincinnati with their only loss coming to OSU on the road.
UC’s current strength of schedule: 19th
App State: 78
UC will have several quality wins against top 25 teams if they end up winning out. UCF, Memphis, and CCG with the only loss on the road to a possibly undefeated OSU.
App State is unlikely to have any quality wins against Top 25 opponents.
If an undefeated App State gets in over a one loss Cincinnati Team the committee is saying that schedules mean nothing and you are better off scheduling against the weakest possible opponents.
We really just need to take care of business and make sure we take it one game at a time and win that game.

There is no doubt with UC’s schedule that we’ll get the NY6 if we win out. That’s a slam dunk certainty. Now, can they do it....

That trip has my attention. We should win the next two. The last three are all tests.
I'm more worried about that game than Temple at home. Temple D looks really bad last 2 games. UCF had 385 yards on the ground last night...385!! And Tulsa playing good ball, their record not indicative of how good they are.

I agree looking at the remaining games prior to Memphis. Temple is a tough, physical team but not athletic and fast like USF. We handled an athletic and fast UCF at home but USF always seems to play us tough and we're on the road for that one. However, we better not forget that Temple has beaten us FOUR fuggin' times in a row. That shat's gettin' old...

Temple's D is banged up. Question is who is able to play in a few weeks.

Agree on both counts. I’m worried about the last 3 games of the season. USF on the road looks tougher than it did a few weeks ago, Temple has played us tough recently, and Memphis will obviously test us.

If we are what we think we are only Memphis as a road game is a threat. If we are what I believe we are.
