Yeah, I know Deez Nuts already bumped the 2017 Weber quarterfinal thread..figured this was worthy of a thread of its own.

Did not expect them to pull something off like this.

Looks like I'll be taking a trip to Utah.

It's news that I think most will welcome! Sure it's thread worthy. I won't even roast Dukester if he makes a new thread later. OK maybe just a little 04-cheers

Great opponent! But they'll probably just end up being terrible those years and everyone can complain about how we don't try to schedule good teams.

Stop being so realistic with your portrayals of the JMU fan base in 2 years.

Only a 40 minute drive from salt lake, so not a bad trip.

Very strange that this was announced today as my son and I watched the 4th quarter of the 2017 game last night. It is his ritual to watch JMU football before going to bed during the season.

Visited the campus once when my dad was stationed at Hill AFB in Ogden nearby. Weber State's campus reminded me a lot of JMU's - just plain gorgeous. Hoping to make the trip and bring dad along as well!

The 2017 game was easily the best game I have ever attended in person. Unlikely the future games will be quite as exciting but still a pretty big get for us. I'm excited to see this in the reg season and looks like it'll be early enough in the season that Weber can recover from the loss and still move up the polls.

5 national parks in southern Utah are nice to visit:
-Arches
-Canyonlands
-Capital Reef
-Bryce
-Zion
Been to them all, the bottom 3 twice. And if you're at Bryce or Zion, your not that far from Page, AZ, with Lake Powell,
Antelope Canyon https://antelopecanyon.az/ & Horseshoe Bend https://horseshoebend.com/ Also not too far to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, which I believe is open until sometime in Oct every year (South Rim open year round). All of it has some stunning scenery.

I love it. Weber is a very good FCS program, and I've wanted us to develop some solid out of conference regular season FCS rivalries. We haven't had one since Appy was in the southern.

We ought to try to get a future home-and-home with Youngstown after the Weber series.

Not too far from the Grand Tetons either.

No I-A game scheduled as of yet for 2021, so this sounds like it could be the 5th away game, with home the 4 CAA, Morehead, and ???.

Good program, but the complete polar opposite of Ogden, UT in terms of scenery!

Agreed, Youngstown is up there with the most depressing places I've ever been.

Yep, just north instead of south. Ogden to Jackson Hole less than 4 1/2 hours. Can do the Grand Tetons National Park in a day or less, but to see Jackson Hole/Grand Tetons/Yelllowstone/Cody at least a week. Yellowstone NP is huge. Could spend a week in there alone..

What's great about being out there in Sept (was out there late Sept/early Oct) 2015, is its the shoulder season. Everything is still open, decent weather, but don't have the high summertime prices & crowds. The road closures around the Grand Tetons & Yellowstone start Oct-Nov, and some aren't fully plowed & reopened till sometime in May or June.
