One thing is 100% definitely clear in all this... The AAC is a solid football league and Uconn doesn't belong in this conference.

Oh I see, it's a gamble, and UCF is expecting to make a little cash.
ECU only have (five HG) 10 games set in that year. We will see ECU's answer. How much does ECU make on an extra home game?

UCONN won't drop a division that soon, So this is a win win for UCF and UCONN. UCONN visits Fl. big for recruiting, UCF gets an extra home game, and UCONN makes a bit of cash. It Probably would make sense for a few AAC teams to do either 2 for 1s or buy games with UCONN while they really need games to fill schedule.

Nice job, UCF. You're the guy from "Goodfellas" that went out and bought the pink Cadillac after the Lufthansa heist.

1mil is the minimum for a fbs buy game...sunbelt get more for buy games
UCF will make about $6 mil in TV money in 2021. Spending nearly a 5th of that to play UCONN when they could have gotten some FCS for half the cost. Someone doesn't wanna end the ConFLiCT!
A full home game is worth a $2-$3 million to UCF. So spending $1 million to make 2-3 seems like a solid investment to me. Especially for a team that is essentially a tune up before rivalry weekend.

Not quite. For 2021 we already have UMass, Clemson, and now UCF in November.

Attractive games to UCONN fans are those against regional/old rivals. I expect a long-term November deal with UMass and Army, both of which will be better draws than most AAC teams. The UMass-UCONN game last season had the highest amount of tickets sold (more than a ranked UCF), but actual attendance sucked due to weather and both teams being awful. Hell, if we could get Rutgers to come to the Rent, it'd probably be our highest attendance in years, more than any ranked team in recent seasons.

Yeah I mean if you could get Army, UMass and BC every year and then maybe a rotation of 2 of these (Temple, Rutgers, Pitt & Syracuse) you are sitting at 5 games with all regional past foes you have some sort of history with. Then a local FCS has you at 6. Just need the other 6. I am sure you could add Liberty as well.
I certainly understand why the fans would prefer that schedule. Still disappointing to see you guys move on. I really thought the league has grown up since it was formed.
On a side note I like the true freshman QB you guys have. He seemed to have a nice arm from what i watched in Sat.

Not quite true. I've seen less. UConn did well. Ofcourse they are now part of the have nots.
Distance to school makes a huge difference. You could pay a lot less for UTSA and TX St to play at Houston because they don't need to fly.

Rutgers will pay you FCS wages for a won and done - $300,000. Their money is tied up paying off incompetent coaches like UConn and their B-10 payout is only around $12 million dollars with fees to join the conference taken out.
