SMU QB so Gainwell will probably not get AAC player of the week.

My guess is Bruechele, SMU.

Agree. Which is a shame, since Gainwell ran for over 100 yards, and had over 200 yards receiving. First time that has been done by anybody since 1997, iirc.

Second time this year Gainwell has been snubbed. Last time he had 209 yards in 14 carries and lost out nationally and in conference to the SMU receiver.

QB bias. IMO what Gainwell did is more impressive and by that I don’t mean to say that Bruechele wasn’t great; he was.

Agree. But what Bruchele did has been done many many times since 1997.

Anyone notice the super bright, flashing "MISS IT" on the big Video Board during Tulane FGs/PATs? I don't recall ever seeing that done before. I understand some thought it should be flagged.

There were a few Tulane fans that noted it as well. Is that usually there? Doesn't seem too fair.

No, but he was so blinded that he didn't kick touchbacks let your returner get to the 50 every time completely changing the game.....no, not really. Obviously it didn't effect the outcome of the game in the least, but is was noticeable and you don't usually see artificial distractions of that proportion.

Haha... Don't invite Southern to come play a buy game at your stadium. It was ridiculous what their band did while we were on offense.

I have a feeling they'll show up the next two weeks. This feels like the UH egg from last year.

Not taking away anything from SMU QB, but this feels like Memphis snub week.

No Gainwell after doing something that hasn't been done in 22 years, a computer ranking of 50 (KenPom) for MBB, AAC coaches picking 2nd (before Grimes), AP Poll keeps us out of top 25 with one two point loss on the road to top 25 team, etc etc.

Use it for motivation Tigers!
