2020 at GS on Thursday
2021 at Appy on Saturday
2022 at GS on Saturday
2023 at Appy on Thursday
etc

That'd be fantastic. Move those Saturday games to rival weekend.

You would think the conference might be under pressure to give the other schools some Thursday night limelight.

None of them will get the viewers we do though. So why would they bother?

Would App and GS make more money from Thursday night ESPNU or Saturday on ESPN+/ESPN2?

I would think Saturday so we can have fans in the stadium to buy lots of things and sell more tickets

I'd rather us play on a Wednesday than a Thursday. App is 3-5 on Thursdays since 2014. Really hate the short prep weeks.

And those wins are 15/16/17 against us. Seems like short week didn't hurt ya'll against us then.

Well... can't use the "Zac and Fahr were out" excuse this year.

Scheduling it is... lol.

I would like to see our game at least played on a Wednesday ESPN2 game so that we have a full week and weekend off before the game.

Longest game thread ever.

This is what I'd like to see as well. The Wednesday night games have gotten better ratings for the conference on ESPN2 than a good number of Thur/Fri games involving AAC teams. Plus, that extra week off too prep for those games.

It's not about money for the schools. It's about ESPN choosing what games they want on Thursdays in order to get more viewers.

3-3 versus an opponent from 2014-2019 is still an outlier.

I love this idea when the game is in Statesboro.

Yeah, hard pass on having a home game on Wednesday if at all avoidable. I'm sure we'll end up with one sooner or later though.

Thursdays stink, but at least it is easier to just decide once the schedule is out to either take Th/F off from work if the game is on the road, or just Thursday if at home. I'm not burning 3 days of vacation time for a football game, but two once a season for a midweek game is tolerable.

Changing the subject sorta. Last year in Paulson this game was electric! Great weather. The intensity was crazy and yet ESPN did little , some but little, to highlight the atmosphere. If ESPN doesn't recognize this rivalry for what it is and that the trajectory clearly points to more and more intensity they're wasting dollars. Neither of us have the opportunity year in and year out to showcase our fan support any better. One day we'll both be ranked for this game. Take it to the bank. Please let it be soon! That will be a game changer.04-cheers

I think there's a very old post on this board where I said that App vs. GS would be the Sun Belt's first Ranked vs. Ranked game.
