Sonics fries are awful.

If we're talking fast food burgers I'll take Cook-Out

Cook-Out is the best thing about the Carolinas. For $5 you get a burger, a chicken wrap, two sides and a drink.

You can get a corn dog as a side at Cook Out. 01-wingedeagle

Higher end joints like Shake Shack and Smashburger are the trend in Charlotte.

Smashburger is worth the extra coin.

Smashburger is awesome, they closed the one here in the boro.

Last time I was in Charlotte for business I ate at this place called Chubz. I felt confident I was going to be mugged walking out of the place, but was one of the best chili burgers I have had in a long long time.
Chubz is good but definitely not in the best location. Give Brooks a try next time you're in Charlotte (weekdays before 3pm only) if you like chili burgers. It made too 25 burger on Yahoo or one of the other big news sites. I just moved about 300 feet away from it and it's going to be a problem 03-lmfao

Oooooohhhh burn.

I'm guessing Hogdawg is also a big fan of the Ford Taurus, tapioca pudding and the missionary position.

That's cool. No skin off my back if you're eating vanilla milkshakes. I don't think I've even had one since I was 6. Is there a chocolate shortage in La or something? Maybe I'm being too harsh.

Brooks is cash only too (at least it was ~5 years ago the last time I had it). I think its worth a try for out of towners, but i always thought it was overrated-same with Prices.

Then again, i'm not a simple burger type of guy.

Still cash only. I'm a fan of a simple Carolina style burger. Dukes in Monroe is better IMO, but Brooks is good and cheap.

Do they have chocolate? Cause I'm going to be hard pressed to order vanilla when chocolates available. But OK, if I ever find myself at a What A Burger I'll try the vanilla milkshake. 04-cheers

Don't know what a Flamer is (well in a burger sense) but I don't consider 5 Guys "fast food". But yeah, it's a good chain burger and top notch fries.

A chain of burger joints, often in mall food courts. They make a delicious burger.

In-N-Out is the most overrated thing on the planet. Not the most overrated burger. Not the most overrated fast food. Not the most overrated food. Not the most overrated physical item. THE most overrated thing that can be described by human language.

Yeah they have chocolate. They’ve also have limited time shakes like salted caramel, root beer, and others. I want to say Ive seen Dr Pepper shakes recently but can’t be certain. (May have been another restaurant.)

Ive been frequenting Griffs in Ruston more than Whataburger, simply because of its proximity to the campus area.

What a burger is excellent but half the fuss is about not being able to have it once you leave where you're from.

I also like Zesto's here in Atlanta.

Cook Out is ok. Also driven by people from the Carolinas going nuts when they can't have it where they moved to.

But to me its Hardee's. Love me some Hardee's

Get your hamburger all the way on a toasted bun jalapeño on the side. Get ketchup for your fries and then sprinkle black pepper in it.

Slaw is made to fill a cup and ate as a side. Chili without hamburger in it is just a sauce....not chili.

A juicy, greasy, hamburger only needs onions, a tomato, small leaf of lettuce, a pickle and mustard or special sauce. Or leave off everything but the onion and sauce or mustard.

The main thing is juicy and greasy and without that its just a piece of meat.

mturn asks if clt knows the difference between a hamburger and a hotdog.

My local joint makes a mean burger with pimento cheese and jalapeño.
