*I think this could go either way normally, but KSU is starting to be a functional team, and this is at Ohio. Granted KSU could end up rolling over them. But I figure it'll be a close one as Solich will want to get his team back on track. Even though I will NOT be shocked one bit if KSU wins this. Ohio by a FG in a barn burner.

Central Michigan -11 @ BGSU
*CMU is pretty good as an improving team, and BGSU got their happiness upsetting Toledo. CMU brings them down to earth. BGSU puts up a fight, though. CMU wins by 17.

Toledo -1.5 @ Ball State
*I'm going out on a limb here and NOT going with the safe choice. Toledo's world is Twirling after getting whipped by BGSU, and now they go on the road to Testicle Tech who's got their rhythm going. BSU smells blood. The Rockets are leaking fuel. Obviously, no shocker if the Rockets pull it out. But I think BSU could make a statement here in their fanless field. BSU wins by a FG.

NIU -2.5 @ Miami-OH
*Miami's down after their disappointing loss @WMU. NIU comes into their town with some juice and lights them up. Miami fans start questioning the HC.

Buffalo -17.5 @ Akron
*Buffalo waltzes into Akron, thinking this will be easy. But it won't be. The Zips will throw some punches, but obviously fall short. Buffalo only wins by 2 TDs.

Western Michigan -9 @ Eastern Michigan
*The Fighting Emoos are going to protect their house. They're frustrated, disappointed, and smell blood with WMU. As they should, as WMU's O has been stagnant lately, as WMU's QB has a bit of a nagging injury which throws the rhythm off. I hope it's gotten better, but I can't count on it. WMU has been Terrible in their performance on the road, sans the 2nd half against Toledo. EMU can win this one. But WMU's D has been improving, and I have to believe WMU eeks it out. EMU has lost two in a row, and with the spirit of PJ Fleck, Tim Lester gets the Broncos over the hump! WMU wins by a shaky FG in the end.

We've been questioning him since the St. Bowl loss in 2016, if not the infamous UC timeout-gate.

Kent State @ Ohio I recall in the early 90s, when this game was sometimes one team's only hope to escape the cellar. Ohio's come a long way since then. Of course, Kent may be on its way up right now, as well.

Central Michigan @ Bowling Green. I think BUGS worked some rivalry mojo; I doubt they'll handle our red-hot ground game.

Toledo @ Ball State. It looks like UT could be down to QB #2. Or 3? Either way, it's not looking good for them right now against an improved BSU team on the road.

GOTW: Northern Illinois @ Miami. Both offenses are finding their way. NIU has the better defense. That should be enough.

Buffalo @ Akron. Akron might pick someone off this season. I don't think it'll happen this week, though.

Lastly, just wanted to acknowledge that as some has pointed out, Ball State/Toledo was the closer line and should have been the Game of the Week. At the time I posted the thread, the site I use didn't have anything up yet for the Ball State/Toledo game yet (it was just blank, so I deferred to the ESPN Football Power Index, which showed NIU @ Miami as a 50/50 tossup). The line went up shortly after, but it was too late to change things, so I'll try to make sure I see all the lines in the future. But ultimately, lines for both games ended up being pretty close, and it was interesting seeing the same percentages of people picking correctly in both matchups.
