Big game this Friday between #10 Charlotte and #12 FIU.

Marshall plays at Loyola Marymount later today 7p 10et. Until this week Loyola Marymount was receiving votes also. The game will be broadcast on the WCC website for free I think. LMU is 6-3-3.

UK moved from the MAC to CUSA in soccer at the same time Marshall did in 2005, so we have been a soccer conference rival with UK since 1997. UK moved during the C-USA 2.0 formation as that's also when South Carolina joined CUSA soccer.

Kentucky became a member of CUSA after the 1st round of realignment in 2005. Before that they were a member of the MAC.

The B12 doesn't sponsor men's soccer either. The only Big 12 school that has men's soccer is WVU and they are in the MAC, but then again WVU doesn't support one of the most popular women's sports either in Softball. Its actually kinda crazy that only 3 of 24 programs in the B12 and SEC have men's soccer.

From what I see also that is surprising is there are no DI soccer programs in the state of Texas except at SMU.

There are 206 DI men's soccer programs in the nation.

Citing these guys is like citing Warren Nolan, Massey ratings, KenPom and Sagarin when talking about college basketball. They have no impact on who gets in and who stays out.

But I understand it. Their rankings and methods may have you higher than someone else, even if their system is flawed somehow.
