I wonder if he had to have his septum shaved. Same problem Hank Gathers had. Just had the operation myself, but as an old man it caused me lots of problems.

Sounds like they're fortunate it was diagnosed and corrected. I wonder if Brannen's push to have his team in top condition manifested the discovery of this?

RE: Prince Toyambi Heart Procedure
prayers for a great recovery, Prince. I hope one day we see you on the basketball court but have a good recovery and only if you are healthy enough. Wondered if this issue was going on last year and the more intense practices this season revealed a problem. Welcome to the club of people surviving a life threatening problem. It gives a new perspective on life.

So thankful that this problem was discovered before it led to a life-threatening situation. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I hope he stays here on scholarship regardless of whether he is able to play again or not.

RE: Prince Toyambi Heart Procedure
So what does this mean for Prince's long-term basketball career as a Bearcat? Shareef O'Neal had heart surgery back in December of 2018 and was medically cleared to play 4 months later in March. Not sure if the medical condition is at all similar to Prince aside from the heart surgery piece. Does anyone know any details on what exactly the condition is or was?

Link to O'Neal story.

RE: Prince Toyambi Heart Procedure
Heart issues are grossly misunderstood. Identified problems can be fixed and a full life restored.

I had a minor HA at 59 that revealed the need for bypass surgery. 13 years later it is a non issue in my life, with the caveat that my cholesterol is well controlled with meds.

Broken bones heal. Hearts heal! And they can heal as good as new if the injury is not too severe.

Racism is not a form of humor.

Stereotyping is humorous if it's funny. Just ask Chris Rock or Andrew Dice Clay.

But Doss was not funny. Applying broad racial stereotypes to an individual without any humor is simply racism.
