Nice pickup!

He looks like a decent big man. He has three point range.

I’m itching for the college basketball season already, Pojoaque!
And thanks for the video, Pistol. Granted it’s limited but I like what I see for sure! Looking forward to have a big body with some range next year!

Josh, my man, you have no idea how much I respect you. You are a true fan. It's easy for me to watch the Aggies when we are winning. It would be tough to be as engaged if we were struggling. Props to you!

BCG continues to load up on big guards and wing forwards; 6'3 to 6'6 in size. BCG will be able to play fast/quick this season but his team will need to rebound well against bigger WAC teams. Just about every team in the WAC (minus Seattle U, Dixie State and Tarleton State) has a 7-footer on its roster.

I could not agree more. Lack of size makes me nervous when I see what the rest of the WAC is putting together. This is signee #8; he has one offer out to a 6'9 C, the rest are G/SF. Looks like playing fast is the plan for year one.

Hayfords Seattle teams have been a giant disappointment. Always seems to have good recruits but really has done a sub par performance of coaching IMO. Playing in a 999 rec center is not helping either.

I think the KeyArena (or whatever its' new name will be?) will reopen in the summer of 2021. So, if Seattle U signs a deal to play there, they should have some games there once again after this upcoming season. Now they just need a fan support to fill the new big arena.

As for Hayford, he it too much of a offensive minded coach. His teams are only as good as his teams can score the ball. Hayford coaches a "soft" man-to-man defense and a basic zone; relying more on his players individual defensive abilities than in any real system. Without bringing in better perimeter shooters, Hayford has plateaued as a head coach. Although, Hayford did bring in three of the five City College of San Francisco starters; a team that when undefeated 30-0 and scored 101.7 ppg before COVID19 ended their impressive run. They might have gone down as the best team in CCCAA history; if they had gone on the win the CCCAA tournament championship. We will see if their addition will sparks his team's performance.

The big that BCG is targeting is the same size. 6'8 275 lbs. Big dude. If he has that size with stamina and footwork, 6'8 is plenty.

Yeah 6’8 is plenty if they have what you’re saying. We’ve had 6’8 centers for some years now and they have done really good even against the P5 schools. They just weren’t as heavy (275 lbs). With the right coach/scheme 6’8 can definitely get the job done.

Exactly what I thought. Unless they want to slow down their game to adjust for him. Bakersfield had a similar guy last year but was 10lbs lighter. Bakersfield always had that slow and grind you down tempo. Their big man Stith was a bulldog down low with that slow pace, but kinda useless when the tempo picked up.

NMSU picks up the commitment of UNLV transfer Donnie Tillman (6'7, 225, Senior-to-be). He averaged 10.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg as a part-time starter last season. It is unclear if he will be immediately eligible or if he will need to sit out a transfer year.

No player would pick GCU over New Mexico State. Chris Jans is loading up again.

I think you mean no player "in their right mind" would pick GCU over NMSU. Because two years ago JJ Rhymes chose GCU over NMSU. Consequently, NMSU had to settle on Clayton Henry. 03-lmfao

Jans spotted Henry at a JC showcase for unsigned JUCOs and was impressed enough to offered him a scholarship.

This is honestly getting totally unfair for the rest of the WAC. Our “Bottom” 5 would place top 3 in the WAC.

RE: WAC Commits 2020-21
Donnie Tillman is another 4* recruit. That makes 5 on the roster (assuming AJ Harris gets a waiver). For those scoring at home, it appears that NMSU has 14 players on scholarship. The NCAA limit is 13. If Harris gets the waiver, that would make 15. We are still on the radar for Jaquan Scott (another 4* deciding between NMSU and Kansas). If we sign him, that would possibly make 16. Not sure how NMSU will manage all of this, but there is obviously a plan.
