Another good pick up. Drew is recruiting well.

By my count, GCU has hit its 13 scholarship limit. If Drew continues to bring in more players, it means some of Majerle's signees are not coming or the players on the current roster are transferring.

JJ Rhymes Louis Bangai are the 2 I'm thinking won't be around by the season. Also Raef Gerdes was rumored to have been put on scholarship but I bet if he was he isn't now.

Modestas Kancleris (the Lithuanian kid) only verbally committed to GCU before Drew was hired. So, I figure GCU is not bound by that commitment unless both parties Drew and Kancleris are still interested. As of yet, no signee has asked for his NLI release. The only player on the current GCU roster I have questions about is JJ Rhymes. I thought his injury was career ending... or was it simply season ending? He has been at GCU two years and only played in a handful of games.

RE: WAC Commits 2020-21
Cal Baptist picked up the committment of Florida transfer Gorjok Gak, a 6'11, 244-lbs, GR, center.

It looks like some WAC programs are bringing in some size for the upcoming season. Cal Baptist also added mid-year TCU transfer Russell Barlow Jr., a 6'10 235-lbs, SO, GCU recently added Wichita State transfer Asbjorn Midtgaard, a 7'0, 275-lbs, GR center. And, redshirted Mercer transfer Fardaws Aimaq, a 6'11, 245-lbs, SO, becomes eligible for Utah Valley this season.

Good addition for CBU. The NCAA is expected to vote on a one-time transfer waiver proposal in May and it is expected that it would pass. It would automatically go into effect. That could be good and bad for WAC teams.

I just noticed this today and it may have already been posted, but Utah Valley graduate transfer Isaiah White is transferring to USC. He chose USC over Arizona and Arkansas.

Already a few WAC players have transferred to P5 programs. As you mentioned Isaiah White transferred to USC. Terrell Brown transferred to Arizona. And, Ferron Flavors Jr. transferred to Oklahoma State. For example, this new rule would not help a player like Milan Acquaah unless he was already eligible to be a grad transfer since he already transferred from Washington State to California Baptist; making him NOT a "first time" transfer. But it will make a lot of players eligible who would otherwise have to sit out a transfer year. This rule should also reduce the amount of grad transfers (who were second time transfers) since they would not get a year ahead on their education while sitting out a redshirt year.

RE: WAC Commits 2020-21
There is a reason why I separated CSUB and UMKC from the WAC schools. After this recruiting season, I was going to remove them from the recruiting list. You are just eager to beat me to the punch. If you've noticed, I have included Dixie State and Tarleton State all season long even while they were still competing in D2.

Plus, it's pretty unreasonable to be complaining about someone who is giving of their own time to provide us all with helpful, on-going information and updates regarding conference recruiting.

Pistol - Thank you for your efforts.

Dancing - We get it. Relax.

RE: WAC Commits 2020-21
Seattle signed three of the City College of San Francisco's starting five players. One CCSF starter is a freshman and the other starter signed with UC Santa Barbara. GCU had signed Quincy Urbina; who was the CCSF's 6th man, but he has since asked for his release from GCU. Coming off the bench, Urbina was probably the 2nd or 3rd best players on the CCSF team. The best CCSF player being Miles Norris who signed with UCSB. But it does appear Seattle got three good JUCOs.

NMSU signed CJ Roberts, a 6'1, 190-lbs, Jr. combo guard from Ranger JC; Billy Gillispie's prior program. Roberts was a former 4-star HS prospect who originally signed with Missouri. Then transferred to Texas Tech before heading down the junior college route.

Chris Jans signs 3 four-star recruits and could get another four-star recruit AJ Harris a sixth year. NMSU should easily win another WAC Championship next season.
