RE: Never forget
I know our program sucks now and our school and state are functionally bankrupt, but we are changing conferences to align with all private schools and that will fix all our problems guys!

- UConn, probably

Husky? More like one of those toy dogs yipping.
We told UConn football you can't stay. Take the hint.

Personally, I would put your hopes into UConn baseball.
They should have another strong year.

30 years from now, UConn leaving the American will be compared to Tulane voluntarily leaving the SEC.

Slinging propaganda. That is what this is all about.

Are you going to be around tf Memphis win a BB championship? I doubt it.

UCONN was once in the AAC? I don't remember that as I thought they were always in the Yankee Conf.*

And UCONN will still be offering one of the worse FBS coaching jobs in the country. Providing they still have a job to offer.

And that coach has since been fired, correct? He won't be coaching UConn in the Big East, will he? Point is, virtually all that work was done while UConn was in the old BE.

They were ranked #1 going into the 1987-1988 tourney led by Mark Macon and coach John Chaney. Unfortunately they lost to Duke in the regional final that year.

We were #5 in the final poll in 99-00.

We were #12 in the final poll in 2009-2010.

Never forget? I thought this was some kind of memorial thread. I guess it is.

I want to look back on the Huskies and remember them the way they were. As an easy FBS win in bad years.

Houston, Cincy and Memphis could all pull a nati in hoops. The football club is a little more exclusive considering only like four teams have won a nati in the last ten years.

Wichita State probably should be mentioned, as well.

I mean, we have the history too.

There have been plenty of WTF deep runs the last 15 years. Who would have even thought Texas Tech would have been there last year a few years ago.

It's not unthinkable for any team to get hot and contend with the right group of guys. That's essentially what UConn did as a 7 seed when they last won the nation title, doing so out of left field... and if George Mason can go through UConn when they they actually were a powerhouse and get to a final 4 I wouldn't sell anyone short of possibilities. Can anyone even name one player off that team without looking?
