The Braves won lots of post-season games. Just not (with 1 exception) the ones that mattered most.

Boise’s bowl victories over 6-6, 7-5 type opponents are like winning LDS games in baseball. Both are impressive, in the sense that 28 (out of 32) MLB teams do not win an LDS series in any given year, and approximately 91 out of 130 teams do not win a bowl game in any given year. But “domination” implies something more than that, IMHO.

The Braves had a path there.

Boise did not

Well, Boise won bowl games against two 10-win P5 teams, that's as many as UCF won against. Boise won five bowl games vs P5, UCF won 3.

But anyway, add all the criteria up, and there's no getting past 20 more wins for Boise and 18 fewer losses compared to UCF.

Boise was clearly the overall top G5 team of the 2010s.

Doesn't mean they dominated the 2010s among G5 the way Reagan dominated the 80s or Elvis dominated the 50s or the Celtics dominated the 60s. But they were the top team.

a bowl game against a 5th tier P5 team is nothing remotely close to a BCS/NY6 game against a top 10 team.

I think if you asked general fans who the team of the decade was, it'd be UCF, and it wouldn't be particularly close at all. Boise has had a lot of very good seasons. But only 1 great season(and that was in 2014). They've been 1 win away several years. But it's just that 1 win away.
