This game gives either team a win over an FBS team with a winning record, something neither currently has. I hope its a good game.
All I know is, I like being 5-1, and I will like being 6-1 after this Saturday.
In years past, I can remember trying to explain to people on this board that LA Tech was actually a pretty good team, despite a 1-3 start. The 2016 season comes to mind. Nobody cared that Tech had lost a 1-point game at Arkansas 21-20, or a tough one at Texas Tech (with Patrick Mahomes) 59-45, and at a very experienced MTSU, 38-34 (after Tech lead 27-7 in the 3rd Qtr).
LA Tech did go on a 7-game win streak after that poor start, and beat nationally ranked Navy 48-45 that year in a bowl game.
The point is, nobody seems to care about how "tough" your early schedule is. By mid season, people just want to see W's.
You lost to Patrick Mahomes and you have lost to about 30 Southern Miss QB's.

No worries. If there was ever a rivalry where one side deserves to be poked fun at, it's LA Tech in this one.
Of course, if LA Tech beats USM this week, Tech fans will fully expect their team to be ranked in the National Top 5 next week. Just saying....

We will feel the same way if we beat UAB this year. They have won 6 of the last 7 games against us...CRAZY. We are up on them all time 10-7 though.

Pretty much what them loafer wearing so called Texans said last week....
This has all the makings of being a hell of a game. I hope the Eagles can pull another close one out against Tech. Inside I feel like it is Tech's turn to win a barn burner in this series. Hope I am wrong.

Friday - 10% rain and 74 degrees

Monday - 60% rain and 71 degrees
still the same with the exception of sunday.....good news!
This video was done in 2011 when Tech was in the WAC. This song pretty much sums up this weekend. "Your team, Your town, Your game day".
I'm expecting a good crowd this weekend. The "Joe" will be rocking!
Another thing I just thought of with this video. Ryan Moats will be inducted into the Louisiana Tech HOF this weekend. He had some huge games for Tech during his career.
