I mean, if you are going to insult a few, might as well insult everyone.

Who did I refer too as a name they dont go by?
Louisiana-Monroe, to start with.

What do they go by now? I've never heard about this one. I know Louisiana wants to be called that but I'm 100% ignorant on Lousiana Monroe
Than that’s on you. If you want folks to refer to u correctly, than do the same for them.
Fun project for you: do some research on what each team’s presence is and report back.

Well I see from the comment below they want to be called ULM. That's fine. But there is a huge difference between not knowing how to properly pronounce a word and knowing these types of things with Lousiana schools. I mean our score trackers on our phones and the internet refer to your schools by their official names: the University of Lousiana-Lafayette and the University of Lousiana-Monroe. Now the Lousiana ordeal...message board people are aware of because you guys have been pushing that for anwhile...ULM I have never seen as an official moniker. But regardless....this is why people mock you guys....it is outrageous....I would much rather here Appalayshun State from a person who doesnt know how to say the word than ever be viewed as ridiculous as SOME of you. Your school has a name....if you want a special moniker that's fine, but dont lose your mind when people refer to your school by its name...its not always on purpose.

You both must’ve missed the Appy meltdown here just a few days ago. You know, the one where you were the ‘little brother’ leading the meltdown.

https://csnbbs.com/thread-883848-page-5.html

But yeah the right pronunciation and Appy reference doesn’t matter.

The point being, if you are of a fan base that demands people refer to you correctly than try to make sure you do the same for others.

It’s not hard or complicated.

Someone help me out. So ULM now prefers to go by ULM rather than Louisiana-Monroe? And if that's true, I'm guessing just referring to them as Monroe is a grave insult.

Not sure about just going to the initials. That's very KFC: sorta lame and for no reason. Ill-advised. I get Middle Tennessee knocking the State off for a few reasons, but going the full initials to ULM...I dunno.

1st of all....when did Middle Tennessee knock of the state? Lol I have never heard of that. Look I cant pretend to know what it's like to be a fan of these schools...but man....just use your real name. I like Appalachian State....I dont want to change it to Appalachian or The App of NC....just use your name, it doesnt effect how you are viewed by anyone. Like people jump down our throat when we cant keep up with how they identify.

So

Lousiana
ULM
MIddle Tennessee

Anyone else so we can be politically correct? Btw I'm just joking about ULM, I have never seen you guys go crazy over that. It was a Louisiana poster who went off over my improper use. But I get it and I'm down with ULM.

You should keep in mind UL changed their name and even had a graduation ceremony with the new name on the diplomas. Then the big P5 LSU had a cow and they had to change back. That would have fried me too and if you are honest it would have you too.

2. Louisiana
3. ULM
4. Georgia State
5. Coastal Carolina
6. Arkansas State
7. Troy
8. Georgia Southern
9. Texas State
10. South Alabama

I'd be very surprised if there isn't a rematch between Louisiana and App State for the championship.

Since 2014 you've probably inserted a few four letter words when mentioning their name.

Exactly. UAB, UCF, UCLA, etc. All are good examples. Nevada and UNLV are a good example. Obviously we aren’t to keen on ULL using Louisiana, as the law is clear neither of us are supposed to drop the city tag, as there is no “Louisiana” and we aren’t a satellite school
of the school in Lafayette. However, our admin bent over and took it and we sure aren’t going to waste anymore energy fighting if our admin isn’t going to fight it. ULM is better than Louisiana-Monroe and so we would appreciate being referenced as ULM, but sure aren’t going to waste energy or be idiots over it if you don’t call us that.

Your administration spent 10 years trying to be GSU until they finally figured out that "Georgia State" is better branding.
