RE: O/T Dantonio resigns
They’re giving him a 3+ million dollar budget for his coaching staff. Love or hate his credentials, he’s considered an elite recruiter. If he uses that money to bring in smart coordinators, I have a hard time seeing him failing. MSU did what they had to do...backed up the Brinks truck to his door in the middle of the night. That’s pretty much the only way to get yourself out of the PR disaster that Dantonio created when retiring in February.

O/T Dantonio resigns
Wonder what will become of MSU's current staff and if will affect EMU's staff. Is there an OC candidate there?

Considering MSU’s offense has been a complete embarrassment the last two seasons, I don’t want any of them near our program.

It would be a painful pay decrease for any MSU main staffer to take a G5 job. Still it would be better than being payless.

I'd take a look at some of their graduate assistants. Moving to EMU would be a pay raise. For example, on paper, Jarius Jones would make a good safeties coach.

Based on some of the rumors (and I do stress "rumors") I've heard, it seems the MSU coaching staff may have lost control of/interest in the program, and are looking the other way regarding some player activities/behaviors that absolutely should not be tolerated. It looks like Tucker is going to have his hands full there whipping things into shape (I'm not going to say "back into shape" because it appears this stuff may have been going on for a while, so there is no "back" to go back to). And if the rumors I've heard are indeed true, I don't think many of the MSU coaches would fit the model CC has set for the EMU program.

There are asst coaches on the move.

BTW, I know we have a fmr. HC coaching the DL, but Chuck Bullough might be available as a DL coach for some lucky team.

Bullough did a wonderful job here. Any FBS school would be lucky to pick him up. I'm still in shock we got a coach from U of M's staff!

Can't really blame him, he wants an entire new culture and considering the Blackwell stuff, the player related behavior problems over the past few years he may be right.

Yeah that is hard it is usually done. That said, we know Chuck Bullough and if he would take a pay cut and we could re-arrange coaching duties, I'd hire him.

The big question is whether or not, C.C. would want to move Needham from DL to another position. If so, what happens to that position coach.

Curious, what other nearby programs are looking for a stellar DL coach?

I'd hire him. Very deep resume. I don't think a B12 OC can't be an OC in the MAC.

Someone like him doesn't get as far as he has if he can't coach.

P.S. I bet he gets a nice P5 job or say AAC.

EMU's offense was better than MSU's last year.
