Tech just took the lead. Still plenty of time for Baylor (1:37) and they have their full complement of timeout. A FG ties it and a TD wins it.

We should still move up several spots this week.

#24 Texas AM lost
#23 Memphis lost
#20 Virginia lost

Should probably move in front of those 3 and Baylor needed 2OT so small chance we leap them. May be a few more losses as well with #19 Wake Forest losing.

With our upcoming schedule we can hopefully reel off a few more in a row.

Wake Forest is getting smoked by DaVille 45-31 in the 3rd.

Wisconsin is playing in beast mode this year taking down Sparty 38-0. The previous week they crushed Kent St 48-0. The final score against Meechigan didn't reflect how much they dominated that game. They beat Central Michigan 61-0 and USF 49-0 to start the year. That Wisky @ OSU game in late October could be one for the ages.

Looks like Hawaii is going to try their best to give Boise State a 2 possession handicap.

TD Hawaii. This one could be a shootout on the smurf turf.

What's happened to 2-4 BYU? They fall to USF 27-23. Oh well, good for the AAC to get a win and maybe double good that we haven't added BYU (though I expect them to be back strong at some point).

#19 Wake falls to Louisville. Unfortunately, close Ws aren't punitive in the eyes of most voters which means that Baylor may actually end up being the big winner this week. After it's all said and done i can see us inside the top 20, anywhere between 20 and 18.

Florida rated #7 is a fraud in my opinion. Look for LSU to win easily.

As much as we wanted Memphis to stay ranked, it's not out of the realm that Temple may get ranked by the time we end up playing them on Senior Day.

I’d say they both have an opportunity to be ranked when we play. They both only have one loss. Not sure what their schedule looks like but they both could end up ranked by the time we play. We just have to continue to take care of business. I still feel like Boise State will end up dropping a game which will open up a chance for us.

It will be ironic if the Temple win over Memphis plays a critical role in the final standings for either team. The view that turned the call from catch to incomplete was from the Nfl scoreboard cam which the announcers indicated would not have been a factor if played in the vast majority of college venues. All the tv cams were "catch".

22. We'll hop A@M, Memphis, Virginia, and Wake. Undefeated Minnesota will hop us.

I would have preferred Memphis to win but still enjoy them whining on a call. I remember our game at Memphis a few years back(when Moore replaced an injured Kiel and had the amazing passing stats ) that we were robbed on a fumble play that to me was obvious on replay that definitely would have given us the victory.

I can see Minnesota leaping us as well, considering they play in the Big 10 and unfortunately that alone will garner attention from some voters.

In the end we just need to take care of business one game at a time. We should be able to win the next 4 games but the players have to remain focused on one game at a time and not get wrapped up in any rankings or national attention as we start garnering more and more.
