RE: 2019-20 season
The NU PDF has the starting five as Walker, Brace, Max, Roland and Murphy. Not sure where that information comes from. I wonder if Tomas is really up to 230...heaviest on the team.

This was the starting 5 I kinda expected. Was a tough pill to swallow last season at this time finding out about the injuries.

Murphy up to 230, use that weight!

Looking forward to the game tonight

Great having Max back! Walker is going to be really good. The guys just need to play a few games together. Roland has kept us close.

RE: 2019-20 season
Half time.

The good:
Roland 18 points, 8-12 shooting.
Max is a solid presence to have back.
Walker looks confident.

The bad:
Brace 0 points on 1 shot.
Murphy foul trouble.
Big men need to be stronger.

The interesting:
1-5 as a team shooting from 3. We'll see how that continues as this game and the season goes on.

Whew!

Another close one. Roland was sensational. But we really need Brace to shoot a little more to balance things out IMO.

Walker was what I expected. But he can't try to dribble through defenders going to the paint like he's in high school. that TO could have been costly. He did take care of the ball overall though.

Guilien Smith was banged up and unavailable tonight.

We move on to Harvard ...

A win is a win. Great game by Roland. Hopefully we don't have to depend on him as much in the future. We looked hesitant/lost at times on offense when the ball wasn't in his hands. I think we just need more time together as a team.

Gresham with 5 points and 9 rebounds for Georgia tonight in a starting role. Would be nice to have him but c'est la vie. Hope he makes the most of it. Georgia is not very good but he will have a bigger platform and audience to showcase his talent.

The Boston Globe's hoops preview for all Massachusetts teams (except Merrimack who's going D1 for the 1st time).

Roland didn't look like a CAA second teamer last night.

Echoing how Roland was so impressive last night. He was able to create open shots on his own with ease last night. Particularly closer to the basket than last season.

And that's why the scoring wasn't spread around more. When one of your guys is having an insane shooting night like that......you let him keep shooting.

Hmmmm. BU highlights....ten. NU highlights ....six. Did BU win this game? On the other hand, I thought the BU announcers were fair and balanced.

Conference has another pretty good day OOC. Up to 12-3 now against D1 opponents. Hofstra has the only bad loss thus far.

I see that Lunardi has us back on his bracket. The bad news is that is at a fifteen.

RE: 2019-20 season
KenPom has you as the best of a six-team pack in the CAA. It rates every team relative to average. Hofstra, Charleston, and Towson are within 1 point, and Delaware and William & Mary are within 2.04. That means that the sixth best team would be favored in every home game. It could be like 2014-2015 that had a four-way tie for first at 12-6 when you got the 3 seed and won the CAA Tournament.

That's the way I see it, too. The top three have really talented players but all three have the same flaw.....a lack of top bigs. That really evens things out. One bad shooting night and you're out of the tourney. This is as wide open as it gets.

I think Nathan Knight can take W&M as far as he wants to in this league. The league has a full conference slate to get our bigs up to par though. Should be an interesting season.

And don't forget the seven footer grad transfer that starts next to Knight. They are both averaging about ten rebounds per game and between them they have almost forty offensive rebounds.
