RE: Crosby
Lions take on Crosby's Raiders on Sunday. Normally I'm pissed when Stafford gets sacked, but if anyone's gonna get to him, I hope Crosby gets one!

Just go easy on our QB, Maxx!

No promises! Haha. We're heading out to Cali on Saturday for the game. Still kinda surreal being a part of game day and watching him run out there in the Silver & Black.

I was posting, etc. that I wanted the Lions to draft Maxx in the 3rd round. Lions didn't. 03-hissyfit

He was a beast yesterday. Buck and Aikman couldn’t stop talking about him. So happy for Maxx.

RE: Crosby
Maxx was just destined for success, plain and simple because of his hard work. He would have been a great linebacker or great tight end if the opportunity forced him to do so. He's that kind of player, and obviously is a major part of the reason that EMU's defense is so impotent this year versus prior seasons.

The only thing that prohibits him from achieving NFL greatness is health, only an injury will keep him from the Pro Bowl in the future, he is that good!

I believe Max was a two star recruit
Hard work and dedication indeed!

Lots of teams passed on him.
Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, etc.
Every NFL team more than once.

As much as they pretend player evaluation is science it isn't.

ABSOLUTE great tribute to Maxx today on Golic and Wingo at ESPN. They mentioned that he was the MAC's most successful pass rusher in the NFL this year. The term Khalil Who? was used.

Crosby is doing just great. Let's not compare him to Khalil Mack, Howie Long, Ted Hendricks, etc. yet. These guys did it for years. Mack was voted pro-bowl for two positions in the same year.

It looks like Crosby will have a fine NFL career. But if he doesn't achieve what these other guys have he can still be highly successful. Let's not burden him unnecessarily. Let him be himself.

Ah yes the typical response from the "Rainmaker".

When this board was celebrating the third straight football victory over a Power 5 team you published the fact that many MAC teams had more Power 5 wins than EMU. Of course many of these were ancient statistics but you indeed did your best to "rain on any parade" going on here.

Today you caution us not to celebrate Maxx Crosby's success and compare him to Howie Long or Ted Hendricks. I've read the entire thread and the first reference to Long or Hendricks came from YOU. The rest of us are rejoicing in the fact that a fellow alumni is representing the University in a positive manner and succeeding in his career endeavor. It appears that any EMU football success just tears you apart inside, a personal issue that you might want to seek professional help for.

Chill out. I was highly complimentary of Crosby and expressed genuine hope for his future.

As for Long and Hendricks, those comparisons have been made elsewhere. I didn't claim it was here in this thread.

I don't know how hard life must be for people who can only cope with opinions that mirror their own.
