TK's Comments from Tonight's Coaches Show
* Next years schedule is complete accept for 1 road game that is still open. Highlights include a Tournament in the Bahamas as well as a road game at Michigan State. No, this is not a "home and home" series with the Spartans! Said teams like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Dayton, and Xavier and even Virginia Commonwealth will not schedule "home and homes" with Toledo despite them asking every year. Will continue to play Detroit, Wright State, Cleveland State, Marshall and Oakland every season.

* Regrets not scheduling a practice on Thanksgiving Day and said the one day practice preparation for Oakland on Friday caused them to most likely to have a "Turkey Hangover" during the game.

* Loves coaching this team and again said the leadership, chemistry and work ethic is second to none. Said again that while he has made mistakes on past assistant coaching hires, he thinks this year's staff is outstanding.

* He talked about the improvement of Gavin Bizeau from the summer workouts until now and is proud of how he has worked on his game. Loves his potential as a perimeter player, not as a post player.

* Cleveland State's new Head Basketball coach comes from Florida State where they ran guys in and out and pressed the whole game. He looks for the same thing on Wednesday night which will be a good challenge for the Rockets.

Keep asking schools in the mid-major top 25 for home and home. Schedule 1-2 upper P5 contests for money purposes. Screw the rest. It only matters come conference tournament time anyway though I wouldn’t mind us one day playing in the Maui invitational.

I'm guessing this might be the Bahamas tournament. http://thebahamasshowcase.com/#!/bracket

This year it had Liberty, Morgan St, Rice, Milwaukee, Kansas City, George Washington, Evansville, East Carolina.

Oakland guarded the 6’11” Bizeau with a 6’5” guy much of the time.

I just hope TJ Smith does not get lost in the shuffle... I think K can utilize him a lot in certain situations... Seems like a tough, hard nosed kid who hits the boards pretty hard and wants to play defense... Would hate to lose out on him, like with Gordon and Adway departing the Rocket program...

FYI, EVERY team averages about 2 transfers out every year.

UD won't even scheduled Wright State on a home and home basis from one year to the other. That's because they are afraid they will get beat on the Raiders floor. Wright State turn down a one and done at UD, "play on our floor or we won't come." UD and Miami Redhawks used to play every year, either at UD or Miami. That don't happen anymore. On the other end, a lot of upper majors teams will not come into the UD arena for the very same reason UD won't come to the aforementioned teams discussed above. Ohio State has talk they want to play more Ohio schools (Kent play in Columbus this year). I willing to bet OSU won't return the favor by playing the Flyers in Dayton.

So what, doesn't have to be the case with UT.
