My preseason predictions (with a bit of hope thrown in) have been off for 4/5 of our games.

Playing the worst defense in college football is a good tonic.

Yeah if you had been average that 722 might have been 575....

"Team that lost to Texas State brags about its offense" is too stupid for the Onion. Arkansas State will give up record yardage and points to several teams this year.

The A-State offense is good, if one dimensional, but the defense is world class terrible.

RE: Week 6 Arkansas State at Georgia State
Our defensive performance, or lack thereof, was the worst I've seen by any team since the 90's. It wasn't the GA State offense that shined so bright, it was our lack of defense. We are reeling and wondering where the defense went. It didn't seem to come with our new DC. Hats off to the Panther offense....they did what they needed to do to score and had a fine game, but they had no opposition whatsoever.

Imagine our pain you guys have injuries. It's been a steady decline since a certain someone came on board. Alas it was a fun offensive showing.

I mean would GS or Troy have been stupid to brag about their offense last year? They didnt lose to us but we held them in check

Troy was without their Top QB, Top 5 Receivers, and our Top RB was banged up playing through an MCL injury. A CB was playing at slot receiver. We were very vanilla that day. So I'm not sure you guys keep bringing that up.

You and I have different ideas of what constitutes an excuse. Saying "our defense would have been awesome if..." is an excuse. "Our defense is record levels of awful" is not an excuse.

I'm sorry that I'm not heaping enough praise onto your team to make you feel good. You should probably work on those insecurities.

RE: Week 6 Arkansas State at Georgia State
To be clear, our defense would have been bad even with everybody healthy. It is more the attempt at this particular scheme than who is playing. We have when healthy, about 4 proven standouts on D. 3 of those are out but their backups are not too shabby either. Bend don't break only works if you don't break. Fans don't like it even then. It's like having a bunch of Dobermans to defend you, but you keep them on a leash and never let them go. As frustrating as it is to watch, it must be even more so to play on our D right now. We need a defensive overhaul or a new DC because what we are doing will still be ugly and bad even when it works. We will lose approximately 4-5K in attendance per blowout. It is costly to suck. We are moving the program in reverse right now.

Make no mistake, I'm a huge Redwolf fan forevermore...just frustrated.

Did you guys catch the Doberman referral? lol

well, I won't complain about getting a win while breaking a bunch of records. Some nice feedbacks happening on social media from recruits and potential recruits. This win actually flipped some nice recruits who held real other offers from P5 recruiters 02-13-banana

At least my Cardinals took care of business in Georgia. Scored 10 runs in the first on the way to a 13-1 win and going to the NLCS.
