Tarleton St will end up backfilling in the Southland.
There’s NoDak, I thought he had disappeared forever, but he just can’t stay away from realignment
Can't stay away from truth.
"The Great Northern will be formed by July 1st."
That was in 2018 correct?
As stated in another thread, NMSU and Idaho had made arrangements with prospective FBS schools with multiple meetings when the WAC lost FBS status. But the new schools wouldn’t take the FBS banners until the WAC and Summit are closer to being in the new CFB contract and each gain a million per school. Most of the FCS schools have invested millions for low level FBS facilities already, but more is coming.
The time is approaching and soon they will form leagues for football and then begin FBS transitions for the 2025 CFB deadlines. I was early but correct on the schools.
The WAC will be:
East
Wichita St and Missouri St will join as FBS affiliates
McNeese St - Lamar
Sam Houston St - UTRGV -Incarnate Word (iffy IMHO)
ORU - UMKC (both nonfb
West
NMSU - GCU (nonfb)
Cal Poly - Cal Baptist (nonfb)
UC Davis - Sac St
Seattle, UVU and Dixie St will secede from the WAC and join the depleted Big Sky.
Suddenly, the WAC will have reasonable travel costs and divisions that make sense.
SHSU, Lamar, ICU, and McNeese St got Tarleton St to move up to the WAC only to be a replacement for them is the Southland to not decimate football.
