Some are swearing that both Kiffen and Clark were in oxford today interviewing.

Tonight they claim Healey has turned down Mizzou and is set to be named.

That guy saying Healy is taking Ole Miss is a barstool guy. As someone who worked for barstool sports I can say he isn't that credible.

Fwiw one of my business contacts is an Ole Miss booster and he said Norvell is target #1,2,3 and 4. He didn’t even mention Healy in my convo with him. He’s not an insider/influential booster by any means but he’s really active with them.

I'm all-in on Healy, but I'm struggling to see how an SEC AD can risk his career to hire him. Some guys, like Scott Satterfield, they're not brainers. You have to bring them on board and if they fail, who's really going to 20-20 hindsight you? But you hire Healy and he flames out, that's a big risk on a guy with 1 year of FBS experience.

And who has only beat 1 team with a winning record by season's end. I love Healy and his energy, but any P5 that takes him now is rolling some serious high stakes dice on him.

There was some other website that claimed the day after Luke was fired that Mike Leach had been hired already and some people ran with it. HIGHLY unlikely they would hire someone from the outside the next day or couple days after a firing. Now if they are promoting (as Washington did) then yes it could happen the next day or so.

FWIW, not much has leaked, but all signs point to FSU for Norvell. Wouldn't be the first time he turned down Ole Miss.

Names that are being thrown around for UTSA are, in no particular order, Houston Nutt, Major Applewhite, Chad Morris and Pete Golding.

Todd Graham would be another that I think would make alot of sense for UTSA. He has Texas ties and did well at the G5 level at Tulsa previously. Somewhat similar background to Sonny Dykes.

You said it. If I were UTSA, I wouldn't touch any of the current candidates, particularly Applewhite. He's too passive, and lost control of his team at UH. Find someone who will take charge.

Todd Graham is an ass, but he got results everywhere but at Arizona State. He's an incredible recruiter, particularly in Texas, and he pushes his players very, very hard. Consider him as a candidate.

What ever happened to Steve Kragthorpe? Could he be a possibility? He was amazing at Tulsa. I'm thinking he's an assistant in the NFL somewhere, or is he out of coaching altogether?

Administrative Assistant at LSU. Maybe he wants another crack at head coaching.

Sounds like he's about to license Club Lit and franchise it.

Most FSU fans don't seem to be sold on Norvell, despite his success. Would think Kiffin goes to Ole Miss or Arkansas, whichever BoT approves of him.

Billy Napier is probably going to Memphis unless Ole Miss interest in him is unreported.

As far as replacements go, Ryan Silverfield current OL/Deputy HC/run game coor/co-OC has some buzz. Supposedly, Norvell's right hand man. He is the lead recruiter and well liked as well as the sole asst. left from Norvell's original staff. But who knows, Laird Veatch took over as AD on Oct. 1st. This will be the first big hire of his tenure. It'll be interesting to see if they hire a search firm or announce from within straight away.

FAU is putting together a new offer for Kiffin. Also Justin Fuentes, Bill Clark, Billy Napier, and Eli Drinkwitz are all interviewing with the SEC cellar dwellers. Kiffin gets all the media attention because of personality I guess.

Fuente makes no sense. Easier path to a good bowl /conference championship in the ACC Coastal than any of those bottom/mid tier SEC jobs. Mizzou is probably the best of those; at least they've won a couple division championships in the SEC in the last decade.
