Sad part of a three-way tie is that Alabama and LSU couldn't play for the SEC Championship when they are 2 of the 3 best teams in conference and if Alabama wins the Iron Bowl it is likely they would be the top ranked 1-loss teams in the nation.

Honestly think LSU has the best team about now. Auburn's schedule is brutal, so it'd be a miracle for them to make it through with fewer than 2 losses. And, of course, while we're all rooting for it, nobody'd be surprised if Alabama skates through unscathed.

I take it that what we are "all" rooting for (other than Tide fans) is them getting scathed (and not rooting for them to skate through unscathed)?

Scalded, even? Is a good scalding too much to wish for?
