Exclamation Week 5 - Vegas Odds
Louisiana -3.5 (has moved to -4.5 early)
Georgia Southern

Appalachian State -18.5 (has moved to -16.5 early)
Coastal Carolina

Troy -3
Arkansas State

Louisiana Monroe -16.5
South Alabama

Some thoughts: I wouldn't touch the Cajuns / Eagles game. App line is too high, and early betting has reflected this. Stay away from Trojan / Red Wolves. Take the over for War Birds / Gulf Coast Kittens (OU is set at 58.5).

Yikes South. 16 point dogs to a team that just gave up 70.

RE: Week 5 - Vegas Odds
Seeing how UNCC was able to move the ball on App, I wouldn't feel comfortable taking that spread at all, though I'm pretty sure in Boone App will win.

I see a close game between ULM and South.

I agree with 05 that you probably shouldn't touch the UL @ GS game. Between our bye week and only really seeing our offense with Shai Werts for like one half against LSU, there's just no telling what you'll get there.

Troy versus Ark State....after all the yards in the air Troy gave up to Southern Miss, not sure I like their chances, but maybe there's some mitigating factor I don't know about.

We have major problems right now. I expect ULM to cover. I see a 1-11 season unless something major happens.

I'm convinced we overlooked Charlotte, and they played like it was their super bowl. UNC will go to a bowl this year. Coastal is good, and I'm sure they will score on us, but I think this line is about right.

I'm not entirely convinced ya'll won't be in shootouts this year.

As long as we're Doc Holiday and our opponents are the Tombstone dead, I'm cool with shootouts.

Bend don't break, the Roof way.

(I don't like it, but this is how it's gonna be for now)

And it's probably accurate. There's a realistic shot an App would be 30 point favorites against South.

I would be surprised if it’s less than 30.

So I should not take USA +16 like I was considering? Is that what I'm hearing? Or are Jags fans just in the dumps after the last two ass kickings?

The optimism after the Nebraska game sure faded away quickly...

I'm a $50 bettor and just put a nickel on Troy. That's how much I believe this BS narrative out of stAte on Bonner possibly playing Saturday. I will hedge/middle if the line move goes the way I think it will.

I think when it is confirmed that our QBs with zero/practically zero game experience are going to be all we have the line should go to Troy -9 or so. . . sometimes these things are already baked in - but I do not think the initial move from 3 to 5.5 or whatever on Sunday was based on this info. And I think Logan Bonner is damn sure worth more than 1.5 points.

Hatcher is a gamer, and is interesting as a QB based on what little I've seen - but I'm willing to bet (obviously) he cannot get it done on the road in his first start/real college game experience. When you factor in all the other injuries, it doesn't look good for A-State. Would I be happy to pay $575 for a win at Troy - hell yes I would! But a failed Troy cover and an A-State loss would be painful! :)

I'm no betting man, and I hope and expect App to win on Saturday. But if I was to bet, I'm taking Coastal and the points all day. I'm expecting a tight one, down to the wire.

I’m not touching any of these lines. #FunBelt games are hard enough to predict and the teams are all much more even this season than in the past.

Jag fans are in the dumps. The only optimism we can have at this point is that conference play means we are starting with a clean slate. Maybe we can show some improvement down the stretch and surprise a team or two leading into 2020’s inaugural season in Hancock Whitney Stadium.

Painful to see USA be so bad. At least Joey Jones was beating the likes of Mississippi State, San Diego State, Tulane, etc... and going to bowl games.

Are USA fans having buyer's remorse over Campbell & Co. yet? Or is there still the idea he will get this thing rolling eventually?

It’s just a mixed bag really. You have to give a coach time, but it’s hard to see games like the last two and be optimistic. I think that’s where Jag fans are struggling to reconcile everything together.
