here's the hack to buying single game tickets for this game: go on their mobile ticket site and there you can get midfield seats on our sideline

You'd think teams would know better than to schedule JMU for their HC or Parents' weekend. The idea is not to have your ass kicked in front of your 2 biggest crowds of the season. Without looking it up, I think @ W&M is the 2nd JMU @ W&M in a row where its their HC, and @ SBU is also their HC...

Yeah. It’s program building strategy 101. Don’t schedule higher attended games against good opponents you’ll likely lose to.

You’re supposed to be convincing the parents and/or alumni as to why they should bother to come back.

Do conference teams get a lot of say on what dates they will play each team? I thought CAA schedule was set by some “computer program” with the general algorithm set by Joey/conference officials.

Figured each school can only determine which weeks they are available for conference games (vs OOC) and the CAA HQ tells them who they will face. Am I missing something with how it works?

Elon seems to be trying to profit off this game with higher prices, regardless of whether it is a good tactic or not.

The $32 seats they are offering is “grass” which is a bit ridiculous, but wondering if they are close to a sellout for this game otherwise. Not clear how much of their stadium capacity is seated vs grass with blankets.

Edit : looking at the seat map for our game, it appears availability is relatively low (sections I saw had 1-2 dozen seats or less remaining, some sections had zero seats or scattered singles). My guess is this is the closest they've been to a sellout for a while.

Like a week before the season I looked and could buy a season ticket on the visitor side in about 98% of the seats so I don’t think the demand is there it’s just a ploy to get more money/try to limit jmu fans

Asking the question that will no doubt be asked 20 more times - Flo Sports looks like the only viewing option at the moment. Anyone else see anything differently?

Actually it does look like there is a good selection of seating still in Zone 4 (section 108-110), which is the JMU/visitor side. $32 is a bit steep compared to what they charge for other games, but not that crazy for midfield seating.

Just remember, the concrete portion on the visitor side is considerably smaller than the home side. There are grass berms all around. You could actually sit on the 15-20 yard line if willing to sit on the grass.

It's actually a pretty cool venue when the grass areas are full of fans.

Apparently the $32 ticket is a season ticket. Who knew.

Yep, season tickets for $32 and no donation required. Crazy!

Coach seems ready for Elon week to already be over. He's ready to have this game in the rear view mirror.

Let's hope that doesn't hurt us this week.

He comes off that way in a lot of his interviews. It always seems like he doesnt want to be there. Could be just his style of public speaking

That’s crazy.

You schedule a JMU type when it’s NOT your homecoming cause you know we’ll bring fans.

HC or PW likely draw pretty well already, so put us in one of the other slots so you don’t go from 10.5 1 week to 6.5 the next.

Silly gooses.

Pretty good I-AA stadium:
-11.25k permanent seats (not including the grass sitting areas)- decent for a private with under 7k students.
-No track.
-Real grass- believe the last in the CAA with grass.

RE: JMU @ Elon 9/28, 2 PM
I watched the Elon vs Richmond game the other night as I had recorded it. Elon was impressive. Very stout, tough running backs. All of their running backs are thick, strong. Of course Davis Cheek is a very good quarterback. I think it will be a good contest. If we roll over them I think it is an indication that we are better than we realize. I expect a tight game and will be happy with any win.

I wouldn't hesitate to go down there without a ticket at all. I am sure there will be plenty available. They will have a ticket window and I don't think they will ask what school you are pulling for. We have been there the last tow times we played there and there are always plenty of seats.
