Now all they have to do is win 6 games which has been done enough times to count on 1 hand since I have been on this earth...

You just worry about NMSU kicking your asses in basketball year in and year out and we will worry about a sport you don't even have.

Btw- frank- can’t wait for Nevada to kick some Aggie asses in a few years! You guys really should just drop football. It’s gotten sad lately.

As long as Doug Martin is coaching NMSU will not go to another bowl game. Even our bowl year was not that impressive. Our 7 were vs 7 teams with losing records. UNM and Utep were horrible in 2017 and so were all the other teams we beat. We should have won 9 games that year with the talent we had. Moccia better figure something out or there will be two football teams playing on Saturday at Aggie memorial stadium to the sound of crickets

This is good news for NMSU. It helps when recruiting kids. First, you can assure a recruit that six wins will get them to a bowl game, like every other FBS program. Secondly, this should assure recruits that NMSU is going to be an FBS program through at least 2025. Any rumors spread around by rival recruiters about a drop to FCS are not legitimate.

This is a legitimate bowl, televised on ESPN. The bowl payout per school last year was $525,000. NMSU does not have to share that with anyone. Now they just need to win some football games.

And therein lies the rub...

Having Doug Martin as your coach and getting a to bowl is a tall order. I know Martin got us to a bowl but every single team we beat that year, including Utah State after the bowl game had a losing record. He's a decent recruiter and I'm grateful that he recruits good young men who stay out of trouble but the man can't win games. He's stubborn as a mule and does not accept responsibility for the ****** play calling that is hurting our teams performance.
