It's more like ULM is no pushover, Iowa State will have their hands full. Is ULM better than their historical average? Yes. But they are still overmatched here.

I agree with this. They were too 25 and almost beat ranked Iowa. I definitely think we have a shot and are no pushover, but Iowa St. should win. If we play like 2nd half of FSU we win.

The Cyclones are much better than FSU. It would be a bigger upset than ULM pulling it out last week. But if Evans is on fire ULM has a chance to make a statement. Evans is a game changer when he is on.

Not sure what to think about the USA/UAB game. Both teams haven't played very well. UAB had to make a final minute drive just to beat a mid-level SWAC team, and smoked a very terrible Akron.

USA though showed a lot of fight against a seemingly good Nebraska, and then got punched in the nuggets by Memphis. Losing Tra Minter will hurt though.

I can't wait to see the App/UNC game. I think the Neers have a shot.

Line on the App State game opened at -4.5 UNC and is down to -3.0 I believe. Lot of money on App to cover and win, apparently. Feels similar to the Wake game in 2017.

Consensus on the C-USA board appears to be that UAB's last good season for a while will have been 2018. They had a lot of transfers from big schools which helped to prop them up. Now they lost those guys and have to deal with their recruiting efforts, which have never been good.

If Coastal only beats UMass by 13 we have a problem. They should honestly win by 25 or so.

Akron wins in a shootout. Looks like Troy and App State's defense no longer reigns supreme in the Sun Belt. Welcome back to the #FunBelt

App at UNC
Which defense shows up? Heart says App gets over their kicking woes against P5 teams and wins by 3 after holding the lead most of the game only to let 4th Quarter UNC show up and tie it, then App drives the field to get the field goal monkey off their back and change the perception that Roof was a terrible hire.

Head says UNC wins 45 - 35

South at UAB
South wins by 2

Southern Illinois at Ark St
Ark St wins by 17

Georgia State at Texas State
Georgia State wins by 9

South over UAB - App over UNC (LOL) but you have Troy losing to a horrible Akron team? You have your picks backwards. Troy wins over Akron before App wins over UNC sorry dude.

Weird that we had such an unfavorable schedule last week and such a favorable this week.

I predict that either Georgia State or Texas State will be in 1st place in league play after Saturday...

I am afraid this one won't be close. ISU will be tough to be to beat. Would love to see the Warhawks pull the upset.

RE: Week 4 Sunbelt Projections
Some notes this week:

UMass is probably the worst team in FBS...I'm going to pretend they don't have half our old coaching staff...Coastal by 28.

Akron is...not good. Troy isn't exactly setting the world on fire. Trojans win a shootout.

Cajuns get their first litmus test against an on level FBS team this week away from Cajun Field. They win by a Field Goal.

UNC beats App by 17, which causes some discomfort up in the Mountains heading into league play.

UAB beats South by a TD...

AState by 21 over a pass heavy SIU squad that will cause issues on the defensive side of the ball.

I know its impossible for the league to not get a win in the Texas State/Georgia State game, but if there was a way, I'm sure those two teams would find it.

Anyone who thinks the Troy / Akron game will be even remotely close is off their rocker. A lot of wishful thinking going on.

RE: Week 4 Sunbelt Projections
Let’s rewind here folks - Troy’s first game was against Campbell, then we had a bi-week (might as well not have even called Campbell a first game. Being oof hurt us. Your crazy to say it didn’t. Meantime - Southern Miss had already played two games, last one being Mississippi state. Point being, Southern Miss was an already tested team, and we were not. Coach even said it himself that we played freshman db’s that weren’t tested until the USM game. USM is a good team....Troy is a good team. I’d be worried if we lost 55-0 like Winston and his ASU team. However that’s not the case. We lost due to our own errors by 5 pts. Moral of the story - we beat Akron by a fair spread.

I goofed and forgot to list that one.

I know it looks like Iowa State, but the reality is, Iowa State is better than Florida State this year. Especially on the defensive side of the ball. I'm just not sure the Warhawks have the defense to win this game. They can however keep it close, and keep it close they will.

Cyclones by 14.

I don’t get why anyone is expecting Troy to struggle with Akron. UMass and Akron are two legitimately terrible teams. CCU and Troy should both win by 20+.

I think South is going to beat UAB, being we play better on the road. I'm expecting if Cephus going off to a bad start for the 1st half, we are going to see someone else. More importantly, there will be someone else out there holding for xp and field goal attempts. We should be pounding the ball with our backs to keep the chains moving.
