RE: Attendance - Week 3
It’s a Wednesday night game, but I expected a little more from Cajun faithful to fill up that stadium.

Me too, early on the PBP announcers called it the biggest game in that stadium in a decade (debatable, of course) but I would've expected more. Who's in charge of optics? Almost empty sections on TV. If you know sections X, Y, and Z will be on tv all night, why not run special promotions to fill them?
Also, my cousin Renae was manning the 50 yd line camera for this game, kinda cool.

Renae is a he....he's from New Orleans. He's a 20 year veteran of shooting college football. His crew typically shoots either the 3:30 or prime time ABC game.

If the Cajuns can win the next two on the road that Wednesday night game against App St could push 30k.
You opened with MS State in the Super Dome and only pulled 22,440. You really think you can pull 30k on a Wed night game?
Most P5 programs would have trouble doing that. This is the reason the MAC attendance sucks so bad.
If the Cajuns go 2-0 against Ohio and GaSo the next two weeks I’d put the O/U on attendance at 25,000. Would you take the bet?
No telling what they announce, but it ain’t 25.
I think it was 21K and change. Better than first 2 games, and not terrible for Wednesday night. We need sustained improvement to get back to where we were in early Hudspeth years.

Don’t take my above comment wrong; was a nice crowd for a Wednesday no doubt.

RE: Attendance - Week 3
the problem wasn’t the crowd, 21,000 on a Wed night is great, any school in the SBC would take that, the problem was how it was presented by ESPN, no attempt to hype the game, announcers acted bored to be there, for some reason kept showing older people sitting on their hands, instead of the student section, didn’t adjust the volume so we could actually hear the crowd, and finally all the screwed up camera angles, I thought the presentation was more in line with a high school game than a collage game.

It was better than that. Not that the announcers had much to do with it but the crowd was nice for a Wednesday night game. Solid crowd again for Wednesday night. Several shots with low angles pointing up to the home side. Looked full.

Camera angles are based on the stadium setup ... Cajun Field is pretty high up there if I remember correctly for their high 20s
