UAB fans given a choice would you rather play in CUSA East or CUSA West?

I can tell you unequivocally UAB fans prefer to be in the East Division.....

We're going to 24 teams with North, South, East and West divisions. Curiously, UAB will be equally suited for any of them.

As it currently stands it’s a tough choice for me.

I would not want to give up the USM rivalry but MTSU is someone I think we could get a rivalry going very quickly due to proximity.

Quite honestly I would rather have a central division, UAB, WKU, MTSU, Marshal, USM, la tech, plus 1 other I don’t have a preference after those 6.

West but only because I’d rather be in the East. UAB was in the Sunbelt while I was in school. I have an affinity for UNCC, ODU, and those mars bar throwing bastards in Kentucky.

I'm okay with the way the conference decided to split MTSU/ WKU in to the East(north) and UAB/ USM into the southwestern part of the conference. I'd like to have MTSU and WKU on the schedule every year, but that doesn't make sense with the current lineup of the conference. It also preserves the rivalry game between the central 4 teams in the conference.

I’m fine with us being in the West since it means that we play USM every year. Personally, the only team from the East that I wish we played every year is Marshall.

Why not? That NE division would be tight and strong eventually.

App and GSU will want to remain in the same division, number 1, but that might not be possible, and number 2 no way will Marshall want to not have FAU and FIU in the same conference. There also has to be attraction to both conferences by the networks. The below is notwithstanding an evil

I don’t think your arrangement is bad by any means FTL, I didn’t mean to come off as a phallus. There are certain things each school would want which would make this whole thing extremely difficult to begin with.

Yeah, but we'd eat the Sunbelt and consolidate. My setup preserves USM, UAB, ULaLa, La Tech, which have history together, and creates a SE setup with FIU and FAU. That's a 4-division setup. It would need a 4-team playoff approved to be feasible though.

That’s where we differ. I am talking two separate conferences. There is a reason that “Super Conferences were pulled from the discussion tables a few years ago. I still think that the endgame of the Putrid5 is 4 sixteen-team conferences basically pushing the g5 into what was known as 1AA. History is cyclical because we are too dumb to learn from it.

We just need to drop UTEP, ODU and UNCC and add Troy, Ark State, and ULL.

Is there a championship division? I think we belong there.
