I’m not sure if anyone else is seeing this in their communities but the public school board here in Louisville (JCPS = Jefferson County Public Schools) JCPS is starting to be for African American Academies. An academy for young black men opened last year and one for young black women is scheduled to open August 2020. These schools have all back teachers, coaches and administrators.

That is all well and good but aren’t we going back to where we were 40-50 years ago?

Part of me wants to attend a school board meeting to suggest we open all white academics for young men and women paid for by our tax dollars. Wonder if the Leftists on the board would welcome my suggestion or would I be called a racist for expecting equal treatment of white children.

First they force busing down our throats, destroy neighborhood schools, force black and white kids to attend schools miles from their homes, now they want to spend money to educate children of a different color separately. Doesn’t make sense.

Thomas Sowell once said, "Racism does not have a good track record. It's been tried out for a long time and you'd think by now we'd want to put an end to it instead of putting it under new management."

This is what has always puzzled me about racism. Who honestly gives a flying eff what shade somebody's skin is? It's not like anybody gets to pick and choose.

It is one of the dumbest things ever perpetuated by the human race. Anybody who thinks it should matter is not just a racist, but a freaking idiot.

Jemele Hill is an out and out racist. Plenty on both sides, but she is particularly strident.

Not to change the subject, but anyone pay attention to the Antonio Brown Saga that unfolded last week that lead to him calling the Raiders GM a racial slur?

Granted AB is black and the GM was white.. Where is AB, he's currently waiting to play his first game with the Pats after getting $9 million I think as a sign on bonus..

Had that been Aaron Rodgers calling a black GM a racial slur, what do you think the reaction would be from anyone in the league or even Ms. Hill?

Jim there was a consummate educator who started a private school for the underprivileged in Chicago named Marva Collins. Her school produced lifelong academics, medical doctors, and lawyers and business leaders from the ranks of her graduates. But what she focused upon was were the basics, reading, writing, math, science, and logic. She taught her students the inherent freedom of thought and encouraged their dreams.

It could not have been more antithetical to the regression in skill sets perpetrated by the progressive left in public education today.

Marva Collins accomplished all of this in Chicago as an African American woman, but also as an American.

What is being forced on kids today will never free their minds, or enable them to succeed in a competitive world.

If they limit enrollment to only AAs they has to be illegal. Anyways major cringe,

Gunn said he has learned that lesson firsthand. When he grew up, Christopher Columbus was hailed in history classes as a great hero and discoverer of the North American continent. Instructors generally excluded criticisms of the explorer, such as his treatment of native populations — enslavement, rape, murder — and the introduction of deadly European diseases.

I have never been a big fan of hers either. Too much agenda, not enough substance. She is entitled to her opinion, I am just surprised that she gets away with expressing it on such a national stage so often.

That SportsCenter anchor gig was the worst experiment ESPN has ever tried - to their detriment, she started ESPN's shift from sports to political sports - a direction they have had a hard time washing their hands of fully.

I can tell you after watching multiple news reports, they have yet to show anything but young black men in the video. I can’t imagine any young white boy wanting to attend the school.

Rather than teaching kids to think for themselves and develop their own opinions the current educational model has a penchant for only focusing on the negatives—negatives of capitalism and negatives of white males. The oppression narrative is designed to leave students sympathetic to radical leftist views when they should be emphasizing the triumphs and achievements of this nation and the freedoms we enjoy. The so called defenders of tolerance also seem to be quick to judge, shun, and ostracize those that disagree them. Bigot and racist have become the racial slurs of the 21st Century and have become far to commonplace, to the point that it devalues the meaning when applied to someone to which it truly is applicable
