Last week I correctly picked TN and USC to lose, but failed to pick Ole Miss and Missouri. This week I'm taking West Virginia over Missouri, Purdue over Vandy, Clemson over A&M, and Texas over LSU. TN comes out mad against BYU. (Or not.)

I’m going with WVU over Mizzou
Vandy over Perdue
Clemson over A&M although I wouldn’t be surprised if Fischer pulls off the upset
BYU over Tenner
Arkansas over Ole Miss.(Season rides on this game for the hogs).
Sec the rest of the wins

Ole Miss edging Arkansas in a close one.
Clemson in a relatively tight one over Texas A&M.
The rest being SEC picks.

I see WVU over Mizzou.

Vanderbilt over Purdue...Purdue did just go on the road and lose to Nevada after all.

A&M over Clemson...I don't feel good about the odds here, but there's just this weird feeling. Could be indigestion though.

Tennessee over BYU...BYU is not that good and maybe the humiliation will get everyone's attention in Knoxville.

Texas over LSU...I think LSU is getting way too much hype here. Texas has improved a lot from a couple of years ago. I would probably lean differently if this were in Baton Rouge.

Ole Miss over Arkansas...I don't trust either team, but I'm more underwhelmed with Chad Morris than the leaders at Ole Miss.

RE: SEC week 2 games
The SEC has 6 schools among this week's AP Poll top 12. One, Miss State, is high among the "others receiving votes". Of course, a few may drop (or rise) dramatically in ranking as in-conference play develops.

Mizzou and Kentucky could finish with decent records. Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt, but looks improved.

All this gloom and doom in chatter about the fallen SEC is silly. Yes, some of it wishful thinking, and glee about certain loses, by SEC detractors. There are a few schools every year in the SEC that fall below expectations. That happens in every conference. Not everyone is going to have 10-2 seasons or better, regardless of the quality of a conference.

We know that Arkansas is rebuilding at a turtle's pace. Problems at Ole Miss were already known. South Carolina screwed-up an opening game they could/should have won. Tennessee is baffling. It is possible one or two of these schools will show measured improvement as the season progresses. It will be shocking if any of this bunch ends up with an outstanding season.

The BIG has 7 ranked in the AP top 25, with most ranked in the lower half. Minnesota got a low 2 votes among "others receiving votes". So, by comparison, there is nothing alarming about SEC rankings following the first week.

The SEC holding half of the AP's top 12 spots is rather impressive. It is still the very early season. There will be the usual "ups" and "downs".

I think Missouri in a tight one
A&M at Clemson going to be crazy I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an upset.
LSU vs Texas is a tough one to call

RE: SEC week 2 games
I figured Mizzou's next opponent would pay the price for last weeks loss to Wyoming. I was correct. Total domination. In other news, Texas lost at home which always warms my heart. LSU looks dangerous. Congrats to Auburn as well. The Vols are officially hopeless. Does Payton Manning have post graduate eligibility? They need him. 04-cheers

RE: SEC week 2 games
1. Our QB is incompetent. The Vols can't ice a game because the coaching staff doesn't trust JG.
2. Our coaching staff made improvements with game preparedness. But the effort is limited by our QB's low ceiling
3. The season is over, put in the back QB.

Not so tight, but picked the winners except for the two Tennessee schools: the Vols and the 'Dores.

Hogs/Chad Morris needs to start Starkel over Hicks.

Hogs finally moved the ball and looked good offensively, but they gotta get some points in the first half.

Bowl game not completely out of question but need to earn a win or two.
