This is already the best year of Sun Belt Men's Soccer. CCU knocked off two ranked opponents in their trip out west beating Oregon State and Portland. CCU is now ranked themselves at #12 in the coaches poll.

I don't consider college soccer to be a threat. I do think MLS will gain in popularity and eventually be a threat to NFL fans...

Bring us a natty Coastal. You did it in baseball, you can do it in soccer too.

Too bad the soccer team hasn't rubbed off on the football team.

That has already started in Atlanta. And there is an NFL team in LA playing in an MLS stadium.

We did beat a UNCW team that was pretty good last year and that beat Duke and South Carolina in exhibition games this season (for whatever that's worth).

The real test will be Florida Gulf Coast, though.

Think we are still far away from that, great program, that over performs for its facilities. Sad part, is I don't think we will make the next step to actually contend for a natty, until we finally build a new soccer stadium, and at the rate it is going will be somewhere around the year 2063.

You don’t need a new soccer stadium. Soccer won’t move the needle on the national scale. It will only move the needle for the players on the team. Keep pumping money into football.

I’m legitimately surprised to see there’s this many people who care about soccer on here lol.


We were leading Charlotte (also ranked) with five minutes left before giving up a goal. Lost in OT. Almost started the year off with three ranked victories on the road. We have WVU next who was also ranked last week, but I’m not sure if they still are.
