With the ESPN-sky-is-falling thread, I was shocked that this thread has fallen off the front page of the forum!
So, here are the preseason SP+ projections from Bill Connelly:
- AAC #1 UCF
- AAC #2 Memphis
- AAC #3 Cincinnati
- mwc #1
- SunBelt #1
- SunBelt #2
- AAC #4 Navy
- AAC #5 SMU
- CUSA #1 WKU
- AAC #6 Houston
(Quick interruption - here we are, top half of the AAC ALL above the overall college football medianand three of the G4 conferences have one or two reps)
- mwc #2
- MAC #1
- CUSA #2 UAB
- CUSA #3 FAU
- AAC #7 Temple
- AAC #8 Tulane
- mwc #3
- CUSA #4 Marshall
- mwc #4
- MAC #2
- MAC #3
- AAC #9 USF
- MAC #4
- SunBelt #3
- SunBelt #4
- CUSA #5 Southern Miss
- AAC #10 Tulsa
(So, here we are through the AAC's tenth best projected team, last year's 4-8(2-6) Golden Hurricane, and no other non-contract-bowl-conferences are at their median...let's just skip ahead)
THE WORST AAC TEAM IS:
- AAC #11 ECU followed by
-127 seven of twelve OVER HALF the MAC teams
-122 HALF the mwc teams
-123 HALF the SunBelt teams
-130 eight of fourteen OVER HALF the CUSA teams
Maybe 2019 will be just as strong for the P6 AAC as 2018 was...
