Did Dorian affect FIU? 13k for the preseason favorites?

Did affect FAU down the road, who looks to have set their record crowd.

Their average last season 15685, so they don't have good support anyway.

RE: 2019 Football Attendance Tracker
We had 4 teams over 30k for their home openers, pretty good. Trying to find some positives anywhere I can.

Have to have some positives because CUSA is garbage this year.

So FIU gets 15k in football and 1k in basketball

That’s good. Last year we had none on opening weekend and only three crowds of 30k+ throughout the season.

FIU didn’t have 5k there, our radio crew said it was least amount of crowd since they have been coming there since 2010..that’s saying something!

RE: 2019 Football Attendance Tracker
We should see some good attendance numbers from week 3 matchups:
- Army @ UTSA: Hoping attendance breaks the 30k mark
- Louisville @ WKU: coming off FIU win should motivate some fans. Could this be an attendance record? I honestly don't know enough about WKU attendance history.
- UMass @ Charlotte: Charlotte fans seem to have a little pep in their step after keeping it close with App St. Expect a solid turnout (as far as Charlotte #s go).
- Ohio @ Marshall: Old MAC rivalry. Can Marshall break 30k this game? I think so.
- New Hampshire @ FIU: This game will hurt our #s. Every FIU game will hurt our #s.
-Duke @ MTSU: Hoping MT has a great turnout for this ACC opponent. Can MT break the 25k mark?
- Texas @ Rice: Rice is hosting this game off campus. While TX fans will out number Rice fans 10:1, doesn't matter. This is technically a Rice home game. CUSA will take all we can get.

The TX fans will help offset the FIU game, so our average should look pretty good after week 3.

Technically UL vs WKU is a “special”/neutral site game, but there should be a great crowd. Hoping for more at the Duke game than were at TSU game, for MT!

NRG holds about 70k. Can we get 6k Rice fans here? Maybe...

Pretty much told students, alum, fans etc. why even bother to show up? We have a special sports writer this year looks like....Pretty much said he's not going to be like the other sports writers in the past and tell you to show up and act like something we are not.....I bet our AD and president are not too happy with this guy, what a joke!

The guy is probably a snowflake that thinks football displays too much “toxic masculinity”. LOL. Oh, I can barely stand this current generation.

RE: 2019 Football Attendance Tracker
Through week 3...

Comments:
- The Marshall crowd looked bigger from a pic a friend sent me, but still a great crowd
- Nice job UTSA
- Was hoping Longhorn fans would help the Rice attendance more, but still great crowd
- Charlotte... was there another hurricane in Charlotte that we weren't aware of?
- MTSU, was hoping for a bigger crowd against an ACC opponent.
- FIU, WTF.

Lots of talk on NNN about mobile ticket scanners not working and people being let in without being scanned/counted. Based upon experience, there were close to 15,000 there easy.

From this report last year, looks like Charlotte's announced attendance is not tickets scanned. If they were letting people in that did not have tickets, I can see where actual crowd could be more than announced attendance.

Charlotte was definitely closer to 14-15K, first time I can remember seeing a number underreported.

It was also the loudest I’ve heard in there in quite sometime.

I take back my optimism from 2 weeks ago. Our attendance this week was butt trash, and I'm sorry

I don't like being defensive about things like attendance because it's self-reported but that 12k figure was absolutely wrong.

It’s not that big of a deal so you can update or not. The official capacity for UTSA games in the Alamodome is 36,582. The upper decks are draped off and only the lower bowl and suite level are used.
