Wish we could book that season right now. I’d be happy just to watch the highlights before our playoff games.

You're fairly unhinged from reality, but since you've got us beating Richmond, you're got all the credibility necessary in my book. Nicely done.

Honestly, this could be a realistic scenario if everything falls in our favor. We have more than enough talent on both sides of the ball -- and if our offense is able to significantly improve (after an historically awful performance last season), there's no reason we can't pull a couple upsets.

With that being said, it's still a glass half full approach, definitely. We don't shy away from that.

RE: Football: Game-By-Game Predictions
Fellas, predicting us to beat Elon down in North Carolina is just silly, and I don't care how rose-colored your glasses are. Elon beat JMU last year, went to the playoffs, and didn't lose much talent. They are a VERY strong program, they're quite frankly not ranked high enough to start this season, and they'll give JMU a run for the conference title. There is no scenario, short of mass Elon injuries or defections (or perhaps another hurricane!), where William and Mary wins down there, especially right after a road trip to Maine. You're smoking something, and I'd like some of it this coming Saturday night, if that can be managed.

So now they're Alabama? They also lost to UD and ended their season 0-3 to include a 31 point loss to Towson...at home...on Senior Day.

I think crowning any team in the CAA prior to any games being played is a fool’s game - this league is way too tough and competitive to make bold predictions. Roll Tribe!

Spoken like someone who decided to read the game results of Elon's 2018 season and then spit fire on a message board. Whatever, Sandy. You know full well that I'm not saying Elon is Alabama. Elon lost their last two regular season games largely because injuries took out everyone on offense... and they still went to the playoffs, where yes, they lost. And if W&M stays within 2 touchdowns of Elon this year, I'll buy you all you can drink at the Tribe beer garden the next week.

That's not Sandy. I'm pretty sure of that, because I'm Sandy.

But I'll take the beers if it works out! Tribal doesn't drink.

Heck, we almost came back and beat Elon two years ago with an even worse team than we had last year and they were a playoff team that year too. Somehow we beat Maine last year. I think penciling us in as victorious against anyone other than UVa and JMU this year can still be considered a sane and sober decision.

Just as important as any other reason is that Elon lost their head coach to JMU. Is his replacement just as good? I doubt it; we'll see. I'm still in the mindset of "W&M is better than Elon and should beat them every year" and I will still be in that mindset unless/until Elon beats us 2-3 more in a row.

I'm coming to the 'burg to watch us whoop up on the Lepoards then make a prediction for the rest. I have us 31-13 on Saturday. I believe we'll definitely do better than Massey is showing, just not sure by how much yet. In the Mean Time

GO TRIBE!!!
