Well, somebody will choose the VP candidate. Biden will announce it.

My predictionL Susan Rice, although I am sure they don't want Benghazi to come up again. But she has proven herself as someone who will take the flak for the team.

Second: Kamala Harris.

I don't think it could be Grisham - too pale, too blond. Although I have known plenty of Mexicans who look just like her.

I think it will be Rice as well, given Biden has the longest relationship with her over the other prospects. Think Harris/Rice/Duckworth will be the pick.

Okay... totally a joke, totally anecdotal... but I have to admit that my first reaction to this was to remember the blonde, pale Mexicans I also know, who openly considered themselves somewhat 'better' due to their more European/Spanish ancestry....

so she might be perfect for Joe!

Just a joke

There is definitely racial prejudice in mexico - the more Indian blood (darker), the more despised. The more Spanish (or other European) (lighter), the more valued.

But a lot of those pale blond Mexicans are fourth-generation or older. Not many of them swimming the Rio.

There are more than a few communities in Chihuahua where there is more 'German' and 'Dutch' spoken than Spanish. And the people in those communities are for the most part very light skinned, many times blonde, and blue eyes abound.

The point I was making is that Grisham probably doesn't match the stereotype of most Democrats of somebody Hispanic. If she were dark haired, dark eyed, and dark(er) skinned, she might be the choice. I have dozens of cousins who could fit the bill.

But in the end it will be the choice of his campaign staff. You never know.

Nadler is certainly a strong argument for term and age limits in Congress.

He is also a strong argument for not voting Democrat. As are the other members of that committee.

It's almost like he doesn't know he doesn't have the authority to delay the election...

I've seen many 'claims' that Trump literally trolls the left... and while I have only rarely accepted it as even remotely reasonable, this just seems obvious. Of course he knows how the system works. He won almost solely because he knew it better than Hillary and her team.

I don't understand the point in doing so, but comments like these certainly occupies the left-leaning headlines for a while.

Republicans would fall in line. Democrats would hold useless congressional committees and initiate legal proceedings that would take months. Lacking authority is meaningless if there are no de facto curbs on overreach, as we've already seen.
