New uniforms. I really like them. They are classic looking. I really like them.

Love the white helmets but the red ones look like they didn’t finish them.

The old helmets were much better. The new helmets aren't even symmetrical; the white helmet has a solid red LU while the red helmet has a red LU with a white outline. Actually, I think it's the same sticker but you can't tell there is an outline on the white helmet. I don't like LU logo so I prefer the old helmets.

The jerseys are harder to determine. I don't know if it's just the lighting but the new jerseys look like they have black accents rather than navy which is a major downgrade. If it is navy on the new ones, I am indifferent over the old jerseys though I probably favor the old ones. I like that Liberty across the front is bigger now, but I wish the jersey had more blue to compliment all the red and white. Also, the new font for the numbers looks better.

I like last years shoulder stripes.

Hugh was the main reason for the helmet change. He said that the eagle wasn’t easy to recognize who we are. It’s in the RedSpin podcast Ian answered that question.

I think the new uniforms are the best yet. And Freeze was right the eagle on the side is hard to tell what team we are. Of course we know but building a brand is about letting everyone know. Plus we need something iconic that doesn’t change all the time. Baylor, A&M, UT and lots of other teams have used the same helmet design since before our school existed. It’s wise to follow suite on things that work.

I liked’em to start with, but the more I look, the more I like the helmets. They are simple, clear, stand out, identify who we are, and are stylish. I do hope their comes a blue version.

Well, I guess that answers the blue helmet question. We’ll be in blue helmets with white tops and bottoms at Louisiana on Saturday.

I like the blue helmets best. I don't know why we have only one sticker for all our helmets. Looks awful on the white helmets and just alright on the red helmet.

You know who has terrible helmets?..... ODU. Those things are thin, unrecognizable, and too big.

Yes. I don't like the new LU stickers on the white and red matte helmets. I prefer the eagle head on the red matte, and at least the same LU sticker that's on the blue helmet. Personally, I like the LU with the eagle head that's actually on the field and most LU sports apparel to be used for the white and blue helmets.

The new white uniforms are growing on me. I personally like the style of uniforms we'be been using for the past 5 years better, minus the new red ones we got last year. Next year, when they introduce the blue ones that are similar to the white unis and red jerseys, they need to buy red pants that match the style of the white pants.

My biggest problem with the red and new whites, is they match the same style that Nike is pitching to every other school. Only schools that keep their unis due to tradition seem to not have that same striped design.

Those all white road unis are so sharp looking. I hope we keep wearing them.
