The 21 dollar hotel offers a good location, minutes from Clifton. Inquire inside and they even have an hourly rate.

Ha. That's great. I was looking for actual feedback. Thanks.

Pretty dated. They cater to the convention center. There also isn't a ton over there but I haven't heard bad things and it is way cheaper than the rest of downtown or across the river.
21 C and Renaissance are my two favorites but they are 4 star with 4 star prices.

Honestly, just air BNB a condo. There are some really great and affordable ones downtown.

There are a lot of airline crews that stay at the Millennium so it can't be that bad.

There have been a lot of articles lately about how dirty and run down it is. The City has been trying to force them to sell to someone who will actually invest in it. The convention center has been beating on the owners for a long time too. Since it is attached, it gets associated with the convention center and is a detractor when they are trying to sell the venue for conventions. I can't say first hand since it has been years since I have stepped foot inside, but the consensus is that it has become kind of a dump. On the flip side, I have bit the bullet before and stayed in a cheap place when the location fits. The Millenium location is really solid - either 2 blocks to fountain square, 15 min walk north to OTR, or 15 min walk SE to the Banks. If the rate is cheap, I'd still consider it.

It was just put under contract for $36m with plans to demolish it for new development. Vandercar Holdings, the same one building up Oakley Station - let's hope their development downtown is better than what they did in Oakley.

Yeah, airlines never cut costs/corners
I have been in there a few times for my job. I would equate it to a fairly decent 2 star hotel. Not great but not horrible. It is tired and needs updated about 5 years ago. Its all what you want. Personally, I would spend an extra $30-40 a night and get something better.

Appreciate all of the input. The hotel room is not that important to me, as long as its not a pig sty. I was looking for a good location, safe area, where I could re explore Cincinnati. I have not been back in 15 years, so I wanted to check out all the new stuff, nightlife, restaurants etc. I plan on staying through Sunday.

Downtown/otr have changed a lot on 15 years, for the better. I’d stay at the new Holiday Inn downtown before I’d stay at the Millennium.

The Residence Inn near P&G is a solid hotel with a good roof deck.

Downtown AC at the Banks is at the front door of GABP and USBA and 3 blocks to PBS.
Modern and Marriott (which are always good).
