Question for Memphis Fans About Tony Pollard
So I'm doing my annual fantasy football draft, and we've been forced into doing an email draft as opposed to a live draft like we do every year since we couldn't find a date and time that worked for everyone.

I know Pollard is stuck behind Elliot, and I think Elliot won't hold out into the regular season, so I don't expect Pollard to get a ton of carries. However, I do know he is a converted wide receiver and is capable of making huge plays. I was just looking for some insight into exactly how good of a pass catcher Pollard is. I could see him potentially becoming a 3rd down type of back later in the season to preserve Elliot's health, and wanted to know if you all felt the same way. I was only able to watch a limited amount of Memphis games these past few seasons.

My league allows us to keep one player that is drafted in the 8th round or later or undrafted the next season. I like to target guys that are potential keepers in those rounds, hence why I am so interested in Pollard. I was also the 10th pick in a 12 team league, so I'm going to have to hit some homeruns on my rb picks.

Any insight is appreciated, thanks! 04-cheers

He is extremely versatile. Almost to a fault imo. He's not great at any one thing, but he's really good in everything. Special teams, receiver, running back. Swiss Army knife.

Best as a kick returner. After that, then equally good as a WR or RB. Dude is fast. Not sure how well he will do as a fantasy pick his rookie year, b/c it will depend on how Dallas uses him behind Elliot.

Thanks to both of you, appreciate it 04-cheers

I actually forgot how good of a kick returner he was. When I had a dynasty league with the same people, we actually have points for return yards (30 kickoff yards=1pt, 10 punt return yards =1pt). If we had the same rules for this league I would definitely grab him lol

Yeah, TP is tied for the NCAA record in career TD kickoff returns. He has 7 after his junior year, then jumped to the pros. I believe that if he had opted to play his senior year, he could have set the all-time record.
