Wimbush and Gabriel will do just fine and I see no one with a plan to stop McCrae, Killins, and Anderson running behind the best OLine in the conference.

Apologies but the scoring will continue.

Who is convinced anyone in this league will go undefeated? Did that idiot Dodd guy suddenly become everyone? I'd say the mostly likely team to do it is still UCF, but the top of the league is stronger than its been in years and UCF has more questions than the last two seasons. Milton was incredible for them. He's not there and the door is open a bit for another talented team to step through.

How many of these posts did we see last year but substituting Frost for Milton?

Very few. Pretty sure there was wide consensus on UCF last year.

BTW even this year the consensus is UCF is the favorite. Saying there are more questions and room for someone else to step up isn't some shot at UCF.

Fair point, and Heupel did a good job in not changing much and letting the team play to their strengths, something that former USF OC Starlin Gilbert did NOT do with the team he inherited from Taggart.

With that said, I think last year would have been a different story if Milton got hurt earlier in the year versus the last game of the regular season. Teams would have game planned differently and UCF would have likely been looking up at UC in the East. This year Heupel will have a chance to earn a lot of accolades if he can pull off another undefeated season without Milton and some significant losses due to graduation or early departures...never mind a tough AAC East division. USF got the makeover it needed in the off-season, UC is primed to build on a breakout 2018 season and Temple is going to better than most ppl think.

However, this is why the play game. Coming off an winless season and bowl loss to Arkansas State, not even the most ardent UCF fans could have predicted the last two seasons. For all we know....TULSA...could come out of nowhere. Well...okay...perhaps not Tulsa...but you guys know what I mean 03-wink

The 2016 season saw us go from winless to six wins and a bowl game. We saw flashes of Milton and the #UCFast offense. Nearly everyone predicted 2017 would be a big year for the Knights. We just didn’t think it would be a national championship season.

Danny White revamped the culture in our athletics department. In 2017-2018, UCF was one of only four schools in the entire country with a winning record across every single sport. In 2018-2019, UCF became the only school in the country to repeat that feat.

We’ve now had three different head coaches win four different AAC football championships. This program is more than one coach and more than one player.

I see what you did there...and that is funny.

What is not funny is that someone like Condoleezza Rice is actually considered a subject matter expert counted on to decide who makes the playoffs.

Nothing against, Rice...she has been a great public servant over the last 25 years, but she is not any more qualified to be involved with the playoffs than anyone on this board. Being a 'fan' doesn't make you an 'expert'. College football really needs to fix this, so that pre-season polls and 'fans' don't decide who has a chance to play for a championship.

I do believe this is the first post you've ever made with which I agree.

I like how Cyber just assumes that we'd be "looking up at UC in the East" despite the fact that we crushed them and they scored exactly 1 offensive TD. We could have put our 3rd string QB in against UC and still mustered more than 14 points to win.

Apparently Milton also plays defense and was responsible for UC scoring a total of 7 offensive points in total garbage time.
