Seems like an odd year to start from...

why not 2000? or 2004? or some other year pulled from somebody's butthole?

"In my case I am doing this using all the data I have access to, which goes back to the 1997 season."

The conference needs UTEP and Charlotte to stop battling for the last seed and instead be competing for a bye in the tournament.

Mildly surprised that no program is in the 300s, despite our conference usually having multiple teams there in its current form.
