Tribe 32 hits it right on the button: John Daly's final couple of recruiting classes were weak
and, for whatever reasons, the team I've watched this season is remarkably small and often
get overpowered in games.

It didn't have to be this way. I am referring to how you (Tribe32) are saying that the team (including next year's freshmen) are all John Daly's recruits. If Shackford didn't think they were up to snuff then she could have gone in a different direction. London certainly didn't take all of Laycock's recruits (in fact, he was quick to sever ties with most) and Fischer has gone in a different direction from the players Shaver targeted for 2020-2021. So Shackford, who is already coaching her second year, could have gotten some of her own players in for this current year and absolutely for next year.

Lastly, based on his NCAA record of success, I find it hard to believe that Daly all of a sudden lost his touch at recruiting. He had ONE losing record at the time he was let go. After all, it took most of a full decade for recruiting slippage in football to be so evident that something had to be done; Daly's slippage window was much shorter. No, he was let go (sorry, he "retired") for other reasons.
No, he was fired. FIRED.[Image: b37963f200178077a21669fb96335bbd.jpg]

RE: Women's Soccer 2019
Last 2 games, both at home. Currently in 7th place, outside playoffs.

Winnable vs CofC and then vs #1 seed Hofstra

To qualify for playoffs, probably need to win them both.

RE: Women's Soccer 2019
We have to beat or tie Hofstra and JMU needs to lose to Drexel for us to make the playoffs. Probably not happening unless Hofstra lays an egg. They have clinched at least the number two seed, and can lock up number one with a win

RE: Women's Soccer 2019
With six freshmen starting this is our youngest women's soccer club in years.

They've been playing much better recently, especially on defense, much better at shadowing opposition players at breaking up opponent plays before they get started...plus our goalie has been spectacular...
and I wouldn't discount an upset against Hofstra this weekend.

Lost to a strong Hofstra team 1-2, falling to 5-11 and the season is a wrap. 11-21 over the past two seasons.
