I tend to agree with you... Same as every transfer to AQ conference gets immediate eligibility while transfers to non-AQ conference need to sit 1 year.

I don’t think that’s true of every case. FSU had a transfer from Rice that sat a year.

OK, only 99.99999999% are eligible right away.

The most important thing to keep in mind here is that this action take the corruption out of the hands of the NCAA and places the decisions in the hands of Federal legislators... That can be a good thing or even worse depending on which district court judge is involved...

I didn't need a scumbag like Avenatti to tell me this.

Nike is probably breathing a sigh of relief that the source is so "reputable".

I'm skeptical about anything Mr. Avenatti says or does. He probably is right to some extent about widespread payouts, but let's keep in him that he himself is under investigation. He's been accused of things such as embezzling money from his clients. He allegedly stole $840,000 from one former client. The justice system still has to play itself out to determine whether or not he's guilty, but right now, things aren't looking good for him. I'm not so sure that justice is what he's really interested in.

"If you missed it last night: the documents filed by @MichaelAvenatti in federal court offers vivid detail of how Nike brazenly did under-the-table business in pursuit of elite grassroots basketball talent. With @PeteThamel and @DanWetzel'

I'm willing to bet that the FBI will eventually investigate mot of the NIKE infractions, the universities may wind up getting a slap on the wrist, Entitled 5s never get the punishment they deserve, see North Carolina... I have no clue what actions will be taken against NIKE...

Hopefully Avenatti goes away for a good portion of his life, he is SCUM to the max...

Is this filing a part of the Avenatti defense associated with his attempt to bribe Nike?

Yes... Not sure if the filing is in NY or California where he is being prosecuted.

But either way there is a lot of evidence for NIKE to be worried as much as Avenatti.

Saw Zion and Duke getting a pass from the NCAA on the ESPN ticker. Not to say I was shocked. It's weird how Zion's mom could afford the rent on a million dollar home in Durham while her buy was balling for the Devils???

Seems to me, Avenatti is just making the gov case against himself by revealing the Nike info he had. Makes the bribery charge credible. Understand that the filing looks bad on Nike but also seems to help the gov prosecute Avenatti for having the info which he was threatening to release if Nike didn't pay him.

UCF gets absolutely hammered years ago trying to get a recruits mom a job and other minor stuff. Literally the shoe companies are making 6 figure payouts to recruits and aau coaches which are not being taxed as income. No worries NCAA. It is Duke, Kansas, Arizona, Louisville, etc. They are allowed to cheat.
